During an episode of her Humble Brag podcast, Crystal said she felt it was important to publicly acknowledge that she “went too hard” and “misspoke” while discussing rumors surrounding Teresa’s family.

Crystal explained that after reflecting on the conversation, she felt she came across as cold and insensitive while reading an article about the situation.

“I wanted to bring something up because I feel like I have to say that I went too hard and misspoke,” Crystal said. “We talked about Teresa and her family a couple of weeks ago and I think her and her family are so lovely.”

Crystal said the issue was not Teresa or her family, but the way she handled the discussion while reading about it.

“When I was reading the article, I think I was being cold about it and reading it blankly,” Crystal explained.

She then pointed out that people often only know a small portion of what is really going on when stories circulate online.

“And I just want to say I think that’s the thing. We only know so much based on clickbait,” Crystal said. “Even when I see stuff about me I’m like, ‘Oh God they just used some weird clip that doesn’t show the whole picture.’”

Cynthia Bailey chimed in and agreed that no one is off limits when it comes to clickbait and online headlines. Cynthia also said one of the hardest things is seeing her own name on the internet and reading how stories are framed.

Crystal went on to say that she felt she needed to correct herself because the topic involved a family and young people.

“I just feel like I was being insensitive about it and I actually think they are great, that family,” Crystal said. “I want the best for them and I just want to say that out loud. It’s important for me to say that.”

Crystal added that when young kids or families are involved, people should remember that the public usually does not know the full story.

“Anyone with young kids, we don’t know what is going on,” Crystal said. “We just read the one sentence that someone decided to write about, you know, the most jarring words that you can get and I have to check myself that I fell victim to that.”

Crystal’s comments come after Milania Giudice recently entered a not guilty plea in connection with her May arrest.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers have watched Teresa’s daughters grow up on television for years, which is why stories involving the Giudice family often receive a significant amount of public attention.
