Crystal Kung Minkoff is speaking out about Annemarie Wiley’s estranged husband, Marcellus Wiley, following his recent domestic violence arrest.
During an episode of her Humble Brag podcast, Crystal claimed she was uncomfortable around Marcellus during their time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and even made sure he would not be present at the Season 13 reunion.
“At my last reunion — in which it was her first season and only season — I had made sure to request that he was not allowed to be there,” Crystal claimed. “I called production and I made sure. I was going to insist, but apparently they already asked him not to come.”
Crystal and Annemarie famously did not get along during RHOBH Season 13, which ended up being Annemarie’s first and only season on the show.
Crystal claimed that Marcellus had “lied” about her and Garcelle Beauvais on social media, which added to her discomfort heading into the reunion.
“We had a lot of people involved, like the production network. So they were very helpful with us, very protective,” Crystal said, claiming there were “no husbands allowed” at that reunion.
Crystal explained that because she and Annemarie were expected to clash at the reunion, she did not want Marcellus present.
“We were heading into a reunion in which she and I were going to be combative,” Crystal said.
She added, “I can personally say that I have always been uncomfortable, but I feel very sad for the children.”
Crystal’s comments come after Marcellus was arrested on July 4 for domestic battery following an alleged altercation with Annemarie while the two were staying at a hotel in Florida.
According to Annemarie’s witness statement, she claimed Marcellus threatened to “kill her” and “put his hands on her.”
Following his arrest, a no-contact order was issued against Marcellus on July 5, barring him from contacting Annemarie.
Annemarie has since filed for divorce and requested legal and physical custody of their children with no visitation for Marcellus. She is also requesting spousal support and asking that Marcellus pay her attorney fees.
The RHOBH alum also filed for a domestic violence restraining order against Marcellus and asked the court to protect her children as well.
In her filing, Annemarie accused Marcellus of a “continuing and escalating pattern of physical violence, sexual abuse, verbal and emotional abuse, financial control and intimidation.”
Marcellus has denied the domestic violence allegations related to the Florida hotel incident.
Crystal’s comments are now adding another layer to the conversation, as she claims she had concerns about Marcellus long before his arrest.
While Crystal made it clear that she felt uncomfortable around him, she also emphasized that her heart is with the children involved.
The situation remains ongoing.
