Paige DeSorbo may no longer be on Summer House, but she still knows how to get Bravo fans talking.
During the Tuesday, July 7 episode of her Giggly Squad podcast with Hannah Berner, Paige made a comment about Bravo men that some fans quickly interpreted as subtle shade toward Summer House star Kyle Cooke.
The conversation started when Hannah decided to “address the scarf visor that broke the internet,” referring to the Selezza London accessory Paige recently wore while in Italy.
“I don’t actually know the response of the visor. I just know that I was — I felt it in my core that it was a moment,” Paige said. “I didn’t realize that the model legitimately looked like you.”
Paige added, “Everyone was like, ‘This picture that you posted of the model is Hannah.’”
Hannah then joked that fans were romanticizing her old smile after she previously revealed that she could not smile normally after getting Dysport in her masseter muscles to treat her TMJ.
“I think people are — you know when someone dies and people are putting them on a pedestal?” Hannah said. “That’s how people are treating my old smile. They’re like, ‘Hannah was so beautiful and she just lit up a room.’”
Hannah continued, “They’re, like, putting rose-colored glasses on who I was. They were like, ‘She was just euphoric.’”
That is when Paige jumped in and said fans were “rewriting history” — before making a broader comment about Bravo men.
“They’re literally any man on Bravo. Let’s just rewrite it. Let’s just change the past, I don’t know, 10 years,” Paige said, which caused Hannah to scream.
Paige then added, “Sorry, that was out of pocket and I don’t care because I’m thousands of miles away.”
While Paige did not name Kyle directly, some fans immediately speculated that she may have been referring to him.
Kyle has been viewed very differently by some Bravo fans in recent months following Amanda Batula’s scandal with West Wilson. During Season 10 of Summer House, Kyle and Amanda’s divorce became a major storyline, but the conversation shifted after Amanda’s alleged romance with West became the bigger bombshell.
Many viewers have since pointed out that Kyle’s own past behavior, including his cheating history and the way he spoke to Amanda during their marriage, seemed to get overshadowed by the Amanda and West drama.
Journalist Stephanie Ruhle made a similar point during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday night.
“I can’t believe how everyone is just super forgiving Kyle,” Stephanie said. “Why is no one mad at him?”
In the City star Georgina Ferzli agreed, saying the scandal “saved” Kyle in the public eye.
Andy Cohen also appeared to understand the point, noting that the Summer House Season 10 reunion likely would have looked very different if Amanda and West had not started dating.
That is why Paige’s “rewriting history” comment has fans reading between the lines.
Kyle and Paige have had their own history of tension on Summer House, especially after Paige left the show and remained close with Amanda. Paige has also been outspoken in the past when she feels the men on Bravo get protected or forgiven more easily than the women.
So while Paige may have been joking in a general way, fans think the timing is interesting.
Kyle entered the season facing major questions about his marriage to Amanda, but by the end of the season, much of the heat shifted toward Amanda and West. Some fans now believe Kyle benefited from the scandal because the conversation moved away from his own role in the breakdown of the marriage.
