Allie Eklund may be publicly distancing herself from Steven McBee Jr. following their breakup, but exclusive text messages show that she once had a very different tone when speaking about him privately to his mom, Kristi McBee.
In fact, Allie appeared to shade Steven’s ex Calah Jackson in the texts, criticizing her for allegedly calling Steven a “misogynist” and saying “shame on her” for using that word after the McBee family had taken care of her.
The messages, obtained exclusively by Roxanne and Shantel at AllAboutTRH, show Allie not only defending Steven’s character but praising the way he treated her during their relationship.
Although Allie and Steven are no longer together — and Allie has publicly said she has not spoken to him since their split — the texts show that Allie once had a much closer relationship with Kristi than viewers may have realized.
In one exclusive text thread, Allie told Kristi, “Can’t imagine a misogynist making my coffee every day, opening every door for me and even insisting he helps take off my shoes after a long day when his own day was longer !! My angel man.”
Kristi responded by agreeing that Steven’s behavior toward her did not match that description.
“She had an issue with him being too good to me. I wouldn’t think a misogynist would be so loving and respectful to his mom. Right? lol,” Kristi wrote.
Allie then doubled down and made it clear she agreed with Kristi’s take.
“MY EXACT THOUGHTS. I don’t care one bit about her but shame on her for that low of a descriptive word when you all did nothing but take care of her. Say it was toxic and didn’t work out if you have to, sure,” Allie responded.
The exchange is interesting given how Allie has spoken about Steven since their breakup.
