Boy George is calling out Dorit Kemsley.
The singer took to Instagram after The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared a Father’s Day post that appeared to take aim at her estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley.
Dorit, who is currently in the middle of a public and messy divorce from PK, liked and reposted a video message from Rooted & Blooming, a page that describes itself as being focused on “life post domestic abuse.”
The post appeared to criticize men who fail to show up for their families, especially on Father’s Day.
“I don’t care who gets offended, I’m gonna say it anyway. a little louder for the wannabes in the back 📣
Father’s Day is approaching, which also means that the tolerance for fake ass men, wannabes, and deadbeat fathers is also approaching its limit. I hate living in this day and age… But I love that we are all learning, we are all figuring it out, we are all taking a stand.”
After Dorit shared the post, Boy George reposted a screenshot to his Instagram Story and made it clear he was not happy.
“This post on Fathers Day? Absolutely disgusting!” he declared.
The reaction is notable because Boy George has a long history with PK and Dorit. He has been extremely close with PK for years and was once such a major part of Dorit and PK’s world that he even lived with them at one point. RHOBH fans will remember Boy George appearing on the show during Dorit’s earlier seasons, when her marriage to PK appeared much more stable.
But amid Dorit and PK’s separation, it seems Boy George is firmly taking issue with Dorit’s public comments and social media activity.
Dorit and PK share two children, son Jagger, 12, and daughter Phoenix, 10. Their divorce has become increasingly tense in recent months, with both sides making claims about finances, parenting and their marriage breakdown.
Dorit has been opening up more about her marriage while promoting her memoir, Unburdened. In recent interviews, she has discussed PK’s drinking, their financial issues, the aftermath of her home invasion and the emotional distance that developed between them before their split.
She has also spoken about her strained relationship with Boy George, admitting that she once thought he would be able to maintain a relationship with both her and PK.
“I actually thought, naively perhaps, that George would be one of those that would be able to have a relationship with both of us, and I was wrong. And that’s okay,” Dorit previously said.
She added that her relationship with Boy George may depend on where things stand with PK.
“It is what it is, however, when PK and I are good, or we are okay, suddenly George is okay. So I think it will very much depend on the relationship I have with PK, and that will dictate my relationship with George,” Dorit said.
