Jennifer Fessler is shutting down the internet chatter after wild rumors started circulating that she allegedly hooked up with West Wilson and she is clearly not amused by the speculation.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star took to Instagram Stories over the weekend to address the claims head on after social media started buzzing about her connection to the Summer House cast member.
“In all seriousness, and while I can’t help but be a little flattered, it is not nice nor is it OK to post something categorically untrue and defamatory on social media,” Jennifer wrote.
She continued, “Regardless of whatever rumors or apparent ‘evidence’ led you to that conclusion, that is the definition of libel.”
Jennifer made it crystal clear she is not taking the accusations lightly either.
“If it were true, I would have no recourse. Because it’s a lie, this can get more complicated,” she added. “Having said that, I hope we can rectify this. It’s enough now.”
The drama kicked off after Jennifer attended Vulture’s The Masterminds of Reality TV event where she was asked about West’s messy Summer House love triangle involving Amanda Batula and Ciara Miller.
Jennifer actually defended West during the interview and told Page Six, “[West] is the cutest, sweetest golden retriever puppy dog. He does not mean any harm.”
She also added, “He didn’t mean it. He’s just trying to have a good time. He doesn’t wanna hurt anyone. Give him a break.”
But things spiraled fast after a fan reposted Jennifer’s comments online and Ciara appeared to throw gasoline on the fire by responding, “lol because they slept together too.”
That one comment immediately sent Bravo fans into detective mode especially after an old clip of West resurfaced from Watch What Happens Live where he admitted he had slept with a woman in her “late fifties” for the first time and described the experience as “weird.” Fans quickly connected the dots since Jennifer is 57.
Still, both Jennifer and West have denied anything romantic ever happened between them.
Jennifer has been married to her husband, Jeff Fessler, since 1999 and appears determined to shut the rumors down before they spiral even further.
Meanwhile, West has already been dealing with enough Bravo backlash after confirming his romance with Amanda just months after her split from Kyle Cooke. The relationship sparked major controversy because of Amanda’s close friendship with Ciara.
At the time, West and Amanda released a joint statement insisting they never meant to hide their relationship from fans.
“It was never our intention to purposely hide anything,” the pair shared. “Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
They also said, “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected.”
But now with Jennifer’s name suddenly pulled into the Bravo dating drama, fans are convinced there is still more tea waiting to spill.
