Jennifer Fessler is opening up about her long and emotional journey with cosmetic surgery, and why it took five procedures to finally feel confident in her own skin.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey personality shared before-and-after photos while speaking candidly about years of insecurity tied to having tubular breasts, a condition that affects breast shape but is not medically harmful.
Fessler revealed she first underwent breast augmentation in her mid-twenties, hoping to change both size and shape. However, the results didn’t meet her expectations.
A second surgery followed just two years later, but she still wasn’t satisfied — this time due to the appearance of her areolas and nipples.
“It looked as if somebody had chewed up bubble gum…and stuck it on my breast,” she told People, describing the outcome.
Years later, after having children with her husband Jeff, Fessler opted for a “mommy makeover,” which included a third breast augmentation. Still, she admitted the results never fully felt right.
Eventually, she made the decision to remove her implants altogether. But that came with its own complications, including structural changes that made it difficult to wear certain clothing.
Her turning point came after being referred to a New York City plastic surgeon by Dolores Catania.
With a clear goal in mind — a more natural look that suited her body, Fessler underwent another surgery, one she says finally gave her the results she had been searching for.
“When I looked at my breasts 24 hours after surgery… I was thrilled,” she shared. “They were better than I could have even wished for.”
Now, after years of trial, error, and emotional ups and downs, Fessler says she’s finally at a place where she feels comfortable and confident.
