Sutton Stracke Says Her Friendship With Erika Jayne “Paid Off”

Intense argument between Sutton and Erika

Sutton Stracke is opening up about a friendship fans probably didn’t see coming.

RHOBH stars Erika Jayne & Sutton Stracke

After years of tension with Erika Jayne on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Sutton says the two have turned a corner, and it’s been one of the biggest surprises of the season.

“Erika and I did not end our last season reunion well,” Sutton admitted to OK Magazine.

Going into filming for Season 15, she wasn’t sure what to expect.

“I wasn’t quite sure how this was going to go. I think we both treated each other with kid gloves and walked in gently to the friendship with one another.”

That approach ended up working.

“It has paid off. We really got to know each other well. We enjoy each other’s company and that’s been really fun.”

Sutton went on to share how her perception of Erika has changed.

“She’s smart and she’s actually a really good friend. I’ve loved getting to know that side of her. It’s been really nice.”

She added, “So that was a big surprise for me, but also a really joyful one.”

At the same time, Sutton also weighed in on newcomer Amanda Frances, who has had a rocky first season with the group.

“I mean this in the nicest way, but Amanda is not the most likable person,” Sutton said.

“When we say she’s annoying, she is. But she’s also a good person. She doesn’t want to hurt anybody. She doesn’t have an agenda to hurt anybody.”

Sutton suggested that the group may need to look past Amanda’s business persona to really understand her.

“If we can get past her work and her business, then maybe we can get to know her.”

As for the cast trip to Tuscany, Sutton made it clear that while it looks glamorous, it comes with its own challenges.

“Timing is very difficult,” she explained.

“We have to be ready at a certain time. We have to be finished at a certain time.”

And when it comes to shopping, the group never quite wants to stop.

“When we go shopping, none of us really want to leave. We feel like we could keep going.”

Instead, they’re often rushing from store to van to get ready for the next event.

“We’re always left dragging it from a store and into the van in order to get to go back to the villa to go get ready to go out for dinner.”

“And our dinners go really late!”

In Dorit’s effortt to keep her diamond, she blew up long term friendships. Which goes to show, she never valued them in the first place. She’s pissed off every veteran HW and only responds to ass-kissing “yes” women (Boz and Rachel “its a vibe” Zoe), who don’t truly know her and know who she really is. Sad and pitiful. Hope Dorit loses that diamond errr paycheck and settles into a modest apartment north of Ventura Blvd… like Van Nuys LMAO!

ANOTHER doldrum episode where nothing makes sense. All we get is a series of short yet awkward scenes of a group of pouty women getting in and out of sprinter vans, wondering in and out of stores, and then sniping at each other at lunch and dinner tables. Why in the hell would they be voluntarily spending time, let alone "vacationing" together? Let's start with who is this Natalie women and why is she there? Man, what another terrible season, this is strike three for me. Time to put RHOBH (adjacent) to rest.

For one reason or another, these women can’t help despising each other. They’ll never fully support it’s sad but, they can’t help themselves. Greed & envy is the root of their evil, this is true for a lot of women, not just HW.

Your first line sums up this season; these women clearly despise each other. I don't think it has ever been so evident as it is this season. The just downright bitchiness and constant sulking is off the chain. Every one of them seem pissed (and put off) to even be there.

Thank you dahling, I00% concur! I would have left the first lunch of the season mid course and blocked them all.

IKR? I don't know women who act this way towards each other. I get that they're making a TV show, but TV shows have to be either fact or fiction, and the problem with Bravo and the HW series is they're trying to have it both ways.

Everyone deserves a second chance. I’m glad they’re trying to move forward.

I feel the same way but then I remember how they treated Sutton. EJ doesn't really like Sutton. She just pretends to because that's what production wants right now. Sutton will never be truly accepted. Otherwise, you are spot on and I agree.
