Gia Giudice is switching things up for the holidays this year and stepping away from a tradition she’s followed for several seasons.
The Next Gen NYC cast member revealed that she will not be traveling to spend New Year’s with her father, Joe Giudice, at his Caribbean home — something she has done consistently in recent years. Gia shared the update during her December 8 Amazon Live stream.
“I’m not visiting my dad this New Year’s,” Giudice said.
Despite the change in plans, Gia made it clear there is no tension behind the decision. Instead, she explained that her increasingly demanding work schedule made holiday travel unrealistic this year, prompting her to push the trip to the new year.
“Honestly, work has just been really crazy,” Gia explained. “I am planning to visit him in January, once work slows down a little bit.”
While her New Year’s plans are still up in the air, Gia also shared that she’s approaching Christmas differently this year, opting for a much quieter celebration than usual — a shift she admitted feels out of character.
“Honestly… I’m kinda laying low,” she said. “Just staying home and figuring out what I want to do for New Year’s. So, that is on the list.”
With a busy career and new priorities, Gia appears focused on keeping things simple this holiday season, even if it means breaking tradition for once.
