Gia Giudice Speaks Out on Teresa and Joe Gorga’s Reconciling

Gia Giudice is breaking her silence on one of Bravo’s most emotional and long-running family rifts: the fractured relationship between her mother, Real Housewives of New Jersey OG Teresa Giudice, and her uncle Joe Gorga.

Speaking on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, Gia got candid about how the feud has affected her personally, where things stand now, and whether there’s any hope for reconciliation.

“I don’t know,” Gia said when asked if Teresa and Joe were planning to move forward. “But you know, I really do hope, yeah, they come to just a happy medium and I really just hope there is peace for everyone.”

The Giudice-Gorga fallout has been playing out in public for years, with both sides airing grievances on and off screen. But for Gia, the conflict hits close to home — especially when it comes to the cousins who’ve also been caught in the middle.

“Not really,” she admitted when asked if she still speaks with Joe’s children. “And that’s definitely unfortunate. Because obviously my mother and father are divorced. And I am extremely close with my dad’s side, so I think that’s where my sisters and I, we know that it’s possible to, even though your parents aren’t best friends or stuff didn’t work out, there’s still a way and room to have a relationship.”

Still, she said she doesn’t blame anyone for the distance.

“Unfortunately, I think the circumstances were a little different just because it got so crazy on Housewives and it was just a lot,” she explained. “So I don’t blame it on either one of us for, you know, not maintaining a relationship. I think it was difficult.”

“It was just a lot,” she added. “Yeah. So I’m just hoping for peace and just some clarity between both of them. And I just think, I hope we can come back to at least just, you know, peace. Peace and respect.”

While the family tension remains unresolved, Gia is clearly ready to move forward — and she’s also weighing in on what the future of RHONJ should look like.

When asked about the possibility of new Housewives joining the cast, Gia offered a thoughtful take on why a full reboot might not work.

“I think it’ll be good. I think it’s fun to get new energy,” she said. “Because sometimes you can’t always have, I think it’s not smart to fully X out the cast completely.”

Referencing Real Housewives of New York City, Gia said, “I think they kind of learned that with New York, and even though they were all stunning… when you have such a legendary New York cast with like Luann and Sonja and Ramona… it’s hard to bring a whole new start in.”

She continued, “You need some old ones that like keep the roots. And then you need some new faces to kind of just like mix up the energy.”

Gia also reminisced about the Housewives she connected with growing up, including the twins, Dina, and Jacqueline.

“Honestly, the twins were great. I wish like Dina stayed on, like she was awesome,” she said. “I mean, even Jacqueline was always so fun, you know? She was really, she was fun.”

Though Jacqueline has since moved to Las Vegas, Gia didn’t rule out the possibility of a BravoCon cameo: “She’s gonna have to make some cameos at BravoCon.”

And Gia herself will be more than busy at this year’s BravoCon.

“It’s gonna be a busy BravoCon,” she revealed. “Yeah, I’m on four panels.”

As Bravo fans continue to debate the future of RHONJ, it’s clear that Gia Giudice is emerging as a voice of reason — and possibly, the next generation of drama diplomacy.

If I was Antonia I would never speak to Gia after the way she talked to Joe or Melissa.

I've often wondered if the cousins are in contact, and it's kind of disappointing to hear that they don't really have a closeness. Eventually the eldest cousins are going to have to figure it out, because Teresa, Joe, and Melissa aren't going to be around forever, and it's going to be up to the kids to continue as fambly. This hits close to home for me, because since the passing of my own parents and elder aunts and uncles (who were the glue), my siblings, myself, and my cousins are experiencing exactly this. At the moment, no one seems interested in our annual holiday "cousins party", and that worries me.

They learned from their parents throwing Kathie, et al, under the bus.

This happened in my family too because of a few bad apples but we're getting past it so I understand. Maybe, this is more common than most realize.

I'm an avid listener or "Dr. Laura" who takes calls on this issue quite frequently ... when the elders pass, apparently it's not uncommon for families to fall apart. Not only due to wills/bequeathment issues, but the dynamics in the relationships change. Barely a day goes by when (even though I know it's going to start an argument) I don't ask one of my siblings, "Hey whatever happened to mom and dad's this or that?" and it usually does. Bitter, who me? Then when my closest aunt and uncle passed (all within the same year as my mom), my cousins went thru the same thing with each other which has affected ALL of us. I hope it's just temporary.

Why would Melissa's kids want to stay in touch when Gia's mother was spreading false rumors that Melissa had an affair? They don't realize the damage that Teresa caused!

Don't forget that Teresa said that Joey was not Joe's son. The Gorga children have remained silent when it comes to their aunt and we have never ever seen them be disrespectful or say horrible things about their aunt unlike the Giudice girls. Teresa could benefit from some parenting classes.

That's right I forgot about that.

Family estrangement is painful. The anger passes and then the feeling of loss sets in. Even if Joe Gorga is an a**hole...and he is, I can understand Teresa wanting to reunite with her sibling. But if this is ONLY about pressure being applied by Bravo as a condition of future employment, then it won't work given the history of backstabbing and deception that Joe and Melissa have participated in. Bravo knows Teresa is the star which gives her power but they also don't like it when the talent dictates the terms of employment as in who they will work with etc... I think Teresa might be getting pressured by Bravo to make amends as a condition of future employment. It puts her in her place where she understands that Bravo is boss and Bravo has a show that might work again. It's all about power and bucks for Bravo at the end of the day so unless their terms are met they could just leave the show on pause for ever.

Gia is as guilty as her mother in trash talking her uncle and Melissa, so it's not hard to believe that Joe's kids don't want anything to do with her. Joe and Melissa's children have never bashed Teresa on the show or in social media so maybe she should take a page out of their book.

Gia and her mother need to shut up. Anyone with a brain knows they only want to reconcile with Joe and Melissa, because Teresa desperately needs that Bravo paycheck. Gia could have reached out years ago to her cousins if she truly wanted to, but instead she chose to spend her time trashing her aunt and uncle on social media and on her and her mother's podcasts. The more they keep talking about this, the more they prove the point that Teresa is in dire need of money. That over a million dollar loan that Louie took out is due in March and it ain't going to pay itself.
