On October 8, in a courtroom testimony reported by Us Weekly, Phypers, 53, addressed multiple accusations from Richards, 54, who has alleged a pattern of physical abuse, including being struck in the face and receiving a black eye.

When asked directly if he had hit Richards, Phypers stated unequivocally: “Absolutely not.” He claimed the injury in question came from an accident, not an altercation: “She had been drinking and told me she ran into a pole.”

The testimony came in response to a statement from Phypers’ own cousin, Dr. Kathleen McAllister, who told the court she had witnessed him hit Richards at his now-closed wellness center in Malibu. McAllister also stated she saw Richards with a black eye following the alleged incident.

Phypers denied all claims of physical assault, including accusations that he grabbed Richards by the hair, choked her, or banged her head during separate events. “No, I did not,” he told the court when asked about those incidents.

He described Richards as a frequent visitor to his wellness center during their relationship. “Several days a week. She used it for Zoom and other various things,” he said. “She came in quite a bit.”

During the proceedings, the judge stopped Phypers from answering questions related to alleged substance use by Richards, calling the inquiry “irrelevant.”

Phypers also denied the claims made by Richards’ makeup artist, Pamela Brogardi, who alleged she heard him threaten the actress. In court, Phypers rejected the accusation that he threatened to break Richards’ legs, saying: “No. Absolutely not.”

When questioned if he ever threatened to kill Richards, he again stated: “No. Never.” He also denied calling her a derogatory name on July 4: “I never called her that. It’s not true.”

Another claim Richards made in her petition for a restraining order was that Phypers knocked a hat off her head during an argument at her townhouse — a charge he also denied.

As for allegations of invading Richards’ privacy and stealing her laptop, Phypers admitted to taking photos of messages he found on the device, which he described as “very hurtful and shocking.” However, he denied confronting her in anger or waking her up to yell about it: “I did confront her but did not berate her as she claims.”

He also pushed back against the claim that he hit Richards in the bathroom as she recovered from surgery in May, and he refuted the idea that he ever caused her to suffer any concussions.

When it came to claims about owning firearms, Phypers was clear: “I don’t own any guns.” As for the alleged bulletproof vests Richards mentioned, he clarified: “They are workout vests that are weighted.”

In her petition, Richards had described multiple incidents of alleged violence, writing:

“Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back to the point where I would have to plead with him to get off me so that he would not kill me and hack into my laptop and phone and download all of my text messages.”

Phypers categorically denied all of these claims during his testimony.

The case continues to unfold, and both parties remain under public scrutiny as more details emerge. Phypers’ firm denials mark a key moment in the ongoing legal battle between the former couple, whose tumultuous split has captivated the media and fans alike.
