Brittany Cartwright is finally addressing the backlash surrounding her participation on the FOX reality TV show Special Forces. The 36-year-old star, known from The Valley, exited the show early during the Season 4 premiere after completing just three challenges.

Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly, Brittany opened up about the difficult experience, saying, “It was definitely complicated. It was very hard, I am not going to lie.”
She described some of the moments that were particularly challenging: “Even when they put the bag on my head on the bus, that was hard. It was something that was scary — even though I knew that we were safe — and it was still just terrifying.”
As for the criticism that she didn’t put in enough effort, Brittany firmly addressed the rumors. “A lot of people think I didn’t try very hard. I really tried. It was just very, very, very complicated.”

She explained the factors that made the experience tougher for her: “I wasn’t physically fit at the time and I was going through different things in my life at the time.”
Brittany also revealed the emotional strain of being away from her family: “I had also never been away from my son [Cruz] that long before. There were just a lot of different factors that were playing against me. I was in my own head.”
Despite the challenges, Brittany said she values the experience and has no regrets. “I’m so glad I did it. If I would do it over again, I would work out harder and be in a better place in my life. But I don’t take it for granted.”
