RHOC’s Shannon Beador Reportedly Reprimanded for Off-Camera Outbursts

Tensions may be par for the course on The Real Housewives of Orange County, but recent reports suggest the drama isn’t staying in front of the camera. According to a source close to production, longtime cast member Shannon Beador was recently “chastised” by producers for behavior deemed “unacceptable” behind the scenes.

While fans know Shannon, 61, for her raw emotional transparency since joining the series in 2014, insiders claim this season—now airing its 19th iteration—has seen her anger spill over into interactions with the crew.

“She had to be told to cool it more than once,” the source alleged to the US Sun. “To take her anger out on the problem or even the cast, not the people just doing their jobs.”

The situation reportedly escalated during or after the filming of tense scenes, particularly those involving Beador’s growing conflict with fellow castmate Katie Ginella. While friction between Housewives is part of the franchise’s DNA, the insider claimed Shannon’s emotions sometimes bled over beyond the confines of the scripted drama.

“Production had to step in and have a word with Shannon about the way she can speak to the filming crew sometimes,” the insider explained. “When emotions get heated, Shannon lets her anger get the best of her and she takes it out on those around her and not necessarily the source of her anger, which in this particular case would be Katie.”

However, the source also emphasized that this isn’t reflective of Shannon’s usual demeanor. “When she’s not angry, Shannon is very kind and caring to production and the crew. But in the moment when things are tense, the claws come out, and anyone in her path could be impacted.”

This isn’t the first time concerns about Shannon’s off-camera behavior have surfaced. The insider referenced similar allegations during her time on the Peacock reality spinoff Love Hotel. Before the show aired, host Joel Kim Booster made headlines with a scathing Instagram Story, calling out Beador directly.

“Just because you’re a pathetic drunk on a reality show best known for a string of failed relationships and a DUI does not make you a star,” he wrote. “And does not give you license to treat the people you work with like they are subhuman. Period.”

Booster later deleted the posts and issued a public apology, saying he “deeply regrets” the remarks. Still, the episode seems to have left a mark on Shannon’s reputation behind the scenes.

As RHOC Season 19 unfolds, Shannon’s on-camera tensions with Katie Ginella have already boiled over. Despite an attempt at reconciliation, Shannon made it clear their friendship is beyond repair.

“Katie, no apology will ever measure up to how much you violated me. I will never, ever speak to you again,” she said in a dramatic confrontation. “You are the most evil person I have ever met. Worse than Alexis Bellino, worse than John Janssen, worse than Tamra Judge.”

With only a few episodes aired, Season 19 is already delivering fireworks—and, apparently, some off-screen complications too.
