Reality TV fans know that sometimes the most unexpected moments leave a lasting impression — and years later, those moments can still stir up controversy. Recently, Nick Viall revisited an old encounter on The Bachelor involving Jasmine Goode that has since sparked a bit of a stir. During an episode of his podcast, The Viall Files, Nick recalled a time when Jasmine “pretended to choke” him, teasing him after he didn’t receive a coveted one-on-one date.

Reflecting on the moment, Nick didn’t hold back about how it made him feel. “I would love an apology from Jasmine,” he said with a chuckle. “I’m still triggered.” He went on to say, “All the jokes aside [on] the Jasmine strangling me thing … that did make me uncomfortable. There was a blackout moment.”

However, Jasmine Goode fired back when Daily Mail reached out for her take on Nick’s comments. “Nick is a clout chaser,” she said bluntly. “He wants attention because I actually did his podcast when he first started out, and we joked about it. He laughed about it.”

Jasmine also clarified that she never actually touched Nick. “I did not actually touch him. It was gesturing,” she explained. “And number three, when you’re in that situation, I was a sister wife, this is my man, you’re dating, this is your boyfriend.”
She also admitted that her behavior fits her New Jersey roots. “I’m sorry, I’m from Jersey,” Jasmine said. “If I’m upset with you, like, yes, I want to choke you right now. That’s how we handle things.”
She concluded with a pointed remark about Nick’s repeated focus on the incident: “So, for Nick to act like, ‘Oh, Jasmine,’ please. Really, Nick? Get something else. I know you want attention, but this is so Nick coded.”
