Kathy Hilton is no stranger to glamour, drama, or diamonds—but when it comes to holding one full-time on RHOBH, she’s not interested.
Speaking exclusively to TooFab at QVC’s Q50 Age of Possibility summit in Santa Monica, Hilton made it crystal clear that she won’t be trading in her current lifestyle for the chaos of full-time reality TV.
“No, no, no,” Kathy Hilton responded when asked if she’d ever step up from her recurring “friend of” status to full-time housewife.
Instead, she’s focused on what brings her joy: meaningful engagements, philanthropic events, and platforms like QVC that celebrate women’s power at every age. “I want to be able to do this,” she said, gesturing to the event. “I love being able to spend the time that I do. And we have a great time. And for me, it’s fun.”
While the Beverly Hills cast currently has room for a new full-timer—after Garcelle Beauvais abruptly exited the show during the latest reunion—Hilton isn’t rushing to fill those stilettos.
“I love and adore her,” Kathy Hilton said of Garcelle. “I called her obviously right when I walked off the set from the reunion and talked to her. And then we ended up having dinner with a friend like two days later.”
Kathy Hilton kept their conversation gentle. “I tried to not bring up too much because I just want her to know that she’s very loved and will be missed. And everybody was shocked.”
Fans were, too. Garcelle left just before a group photo and celebratory toast, later explaining on Instagram that she wanted more time for her kids and her film career.
Even Kathy Hilton was caught off guard. “I only came in at the tail end because I’m not a full-time housewife. So I’m just at the last three hours of the reunion. And I didn’t see anything building up. I had no idea. So I was like, ‘oh my God.’”
When asked if she had any insight into Garcelle’s sudden exit, Kathy Hilton demurred: “I haven’t asked because I just don’t want to push. We all can read all these things. But I think it’s everybody just assuming this or that.”
As for who might replace Garcelle? Kathy believes no one truly can.
“Truthfully … I don’t think that any of the girls that have been on really can be replaced,” she said. “Everybody’s unusual and leaves their mark on Housewives.”
One name floating around? Actress Jennifer Tilly, who appeared as a “friend of” in the most recent season. But she’s not confirming anything just yet. “I really did enjoy being a friend of this season,” Tilly told TooFab. “Because you can dip in and dip out. You’re not too deep into the drama. But you know what? You never know. You never know…”
Back at QVC, Hilton was all about celebrating women over 50. “I’m very, very proud to be an ambassador here at QVC,” she said. “I was with QVC years ago for four years and HSN for three. And it’s certainly a lot of fun to be back. And in a way like never before.”
She added a final word of inspiration: “To me, a woman really can even look more beautiful with age—if they take care of themselves!”
