The door may not be fully closed on Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s relationship—at least, not if you ask Kathy Hilton.
While attending the 32nd Annual Race to Erase MS Gala in Los Angeles, Kathy opened up to TooFab about where she stands on the ongoing separation between her sister Kyle and her estranged husband Mauricio. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star made it clear she hasn’t given up on the couple rekindling their romance.
“I don’t like change. I really don’t. I’m a creature of habit,” Hilton admitted, referencing her emotional remarks during the Season 14 reunion of RHOBH, where she expressed a desire to see Kyle and Mauricio make it work.
For Kathy, this hope isn’t just about her sister—it’s about family. “He’s our family, the children, all of that. To me, they are still children and everybody wants their mom and dad together,” she said. “But you never know.”
When directly asked whether she believes there’s still hope for the pair, Kathy responded with cautious optimism: “I think in life there’s always hope.”
Her recent comments echoed what she told Andy Cohen during the reunion, where she grew emotional while discussing the breakup. “I don’t like things to change,” she said tearfully. “I just, for the kids … For me, I want everything staying the same.”
While the future of Kyle and Mauricio’s relationship is uncertain, Kathy shared a positive update about her sister’s present. According to her, Kyle is “doing great,” and the family is currently focused on happier things—including an engagement party for the couple’s eldest daughter, Alexia Umansky.
