Amid a wave of personal and professional changes shaking up the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast, Kyle Richards is opening up about the recent headlines surrounding her co-stars. Attending a charity event with longtime friend Teddi Mellencamp on Monday night, Kyle reflected on the show’s drama, the challenges her castmates are facing off-screen, and what truly matters most.

Following Dorit Kemsley’s recent divorce filing from husband Paul “PK” Kemsley, Kyle shared where she stands with her former close friend.
“I haven’t spoken with [Dorit],” Kyle Richards revealed to Extra TV on April 28. “I sent her a text, and that’s all you can do is reach out, and when she’s ready … I know it’s a very difficult time. It’s always sad to see a family broken up, always.”
While Kyle Richards and Dorit were once tight-knit, season 14 of RHOBH put a strain on their relationship, and things have not returned to what they once were. Reflecting on how the season ended, Kyle didn’t hold back.
“I felt horrible,” she admitted, adding that her focus has shifted dramatically in recent months due to Teddi’s health battle.
“That feels like nothing now compared to what’s been going on these last couple months. It was a difficult season for sure, but things like this really put things into perspective,” she explained.
In a separate interview with Access Hollywood, Kyle opened up about Garcelle Beauvais’ departure from the show, expressing disappointment over their stalled communication.
“I have not heard from her. I felt bad that she was not coming back. I was excited that our friendship was blossoming and going to a deeper level, and now she’s gone. It’s sad. I hope to reconnect, off camera or on camera. But she’s gonna do great. She’ll be great no matter what,” Kyle shared.
The night also brought a more uplifting note as Kyle Richards celebrated her bond with Teddi, who recently received positive news in her battle with melanoma.
“She’s definitely the best thing that ever came out of doing Real Housewives for me by far, and I’m so grateful for her,”Kyle gushed. “And having something like this happen, it felt very surreal, obviously, and I’m just so happy to see her. We got great news the other day, so that made us all very happy and very excited, and very emotional. I was actually in Target on FaceTime with her and the doctors, sobbing in Target while we’re ringing up all the things.”
“It gives us a lot of hope now, and hopefully it gives many people hope out there,” she added, referencing the incredible update that all of Teddi’s tumors have “shrunk or disappeared.”
In the midst of heartbreak and farewells, Kyle continues to find strength in friendship and clarity in the bigger picture—both on and off screen.
