Gia Giudice Opens Up About an Awkward Encounter with Riley Burruss – Dolores Catania Weighs In

On a recent episode of Gia Giudice’s podcast, Casual Chaos, things got candid when Dolores Catania joined her for a conversation that drifted into some Real Housewives crossover drama.

Teresa Giudice and Gia Giudice

Gia Giudice, the daughter of Teresa Giudice of RHONJ, shared a story about a surprising reaction she got from Riley Burruss, daughter of Kandi Burruss from RHOA. Gia recalled trying to make a friendly connection with Riley by comparing their experiences growing up on Housewives shows.

“I actually said to her once, I feel like Atlanta and Jersey give the same energy,” Gia said. But instead of finding common ground, Riley wasn’t having it. “She got really offended by that.”

Dolores seemed genuinely surprised: “Really? Why?” she asked, echoing what many fans might be wondering.

Gia admitted she was caught off guard. “She looked at me and said, ‘No, they’re very different.’ I said okay,” Gia recounted. “It was kind of me also trying to bond over something… but she didn’t like it.”

Dolores, never one to sugarcoat, simply said, “That’s not nice,” and offered some wisdom: “Right off the bat then you know that’s the pace of the relationship that you’ll have with that person.”

The exchange highlights how even among Housewives kids — who might seem like they share similar experiences — there’s still a lot of room for personality clashes and misunderstandings.

Whether Riley just took the comparison the wrong way or truly sees a vast difference between the two franchises, one thing’s clear: Gia learned quickly that not every attempt to connect lands the way it’s intended.

I don't know who Riley is but Gia should just keep her distance. I think everyone tries to bond by sharing a common ground. If this Riley doesn't recognize that, then that says something about her. Dolores is right here.

Gia was a much bigger star on RHONJ than Riley ever was on RHOA let's be clear. Riley was rarely shown, and Kandi was never an OG.

It's called having a difference of opinion, Gia. Gia always sounds like she just got done smoking a pack of cigarettes. That vocal fry is horrendous - almost as horrendous as her mother's.

You can tell Riley thinks she is better than Gia, I can't believe I'm sticking up for Gia, but her imprint in housewife history tramples any child of a housewife on all franchises combined.

What a lame story. Maybe Riley doesn't want to associate with Gia. Maybe Kandi brought her up well enough, to make her own adult decisions of the types of people she should hang with and the types she shouldn't. Maybe Gia just isn't Riley's type of person. Gia making this a story is to build herself up. Acorn didn't fall far from the Tre(e)

Gia was brought up well too. But the difference seems, that Gia has manners.

I am clearly not a fan of Gia, and I'm really not a big fan of Riley, but Riley doesn't feel the same and that's okay.
