Dorit Kemsley, star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has found herself embroiled in a payment controversy after hairstylist Chris Dylan publicly responded to claims she had failed to pay her bills. The drama began when Dorit Kemsley was accused by fellow Real Housewives star Tracy Tutor of being a serial non-payer. Tutor alleged that Dorit Kemsley had stiffed multiple people, including Dylan, a hairstylist she worked with in the past year.
Appearing on Watch What Happens Live (WWHL) on March 11, Dorit Kemsley did not hold back when addressing the situation. She claimed that Dylan’s invoice was the result of him attempting to “double-charge” her for a hotel stay. Dorit Kemsley added, “That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard, genuinely, like wholeheartedly.” She continued, referring to the overcharge, “He sent an invoice overcharging me and charging me for a hotel that he had already used my card to pay for.”
Dylan was quick to refute those accusations, stating that this wasn’t the truth.
“I’m not one to rant on socials,” Dylan began in his nearly eight-minute tell-all video, which was shared widely across social media platforms. “But she came for me, and numerous news outlets asked me for an interview, so I figured making a tell-all video was the easiest way to share my truth.” He also shared text messages between him and Kemsley to back up his side of the story.

The Hotel Charge Dispute
The crux of the payment dispute centers around a hotel charge during a stay that Kemsley had requested Dylan to extend for an additional four days in November 2024. Kemsley had made the original hotel reservation and put her own credit card down for the booking, while Dylan’s card was used as the secondary form of payment.
When it was time to check out, however, Dylan discovered that it was his card that was charged instead of Kemsley’s. Dylan attempted to reach out to Kemsley to resolve the situation, but Kemsley responded with accusations that Dylan had contacted the hotel to change the charges without her permission.
“The hotel charges that you have been chasing were paid on my credit card,” Kemsley wrote in one text to Dylan. “In fact, you even called the hotel to make sure the charges were removed from your card and added to mine — without my permission.”
Dylan vehemently denied this claim, stating, “I didn’t call the hotel. Nothing was done without your permission. You said you’d pay for it, and I trusted that.” Despite his explanation, Kemsley continued to insist that Dylan had acted without her consent.
Tracy Tutor Weighs In
Things escalated when Tracy Tutor weighed in on the situation during a Radio Andy appearance on March 11. She told Jeff Lewis, “I’m fairly certain based off my knowledge there’s several people that haven’t been paid by her, including my stylist, who I think she just tallied up with finally. My makeup artist and, so, she’s got my people. Yet she likes to throw shade and call me a tacky woman.”
Kemsley’s response on Watch What Happens Live was sharp and pointed. “That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard, genuinely, like wholeheartedly,” she remarked. “There was a lot of s— she said that, I don’t know, it came out of left field. In particular, her talking about Chris Dylan, a hairstylist that I worked with this year for the first time in eight years. A Final Resolution: Payment at Last
Despite the back-and-forth accusations, there appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel for Dylan. After Tutor’s comments, which appeared to support Dylan’s version of events, the hairstylist finally received his payment. On Instagram, Dylan posted a message of gratitude: “After months of begging, finally got paid in full. Thank you guys.”
While the drama surrounding Dorit Kemsley’s payment issues may have subsided for now, it remains to be seen if the Real Housewives star’s reputation will take a hit after this public feud. Dylan, however, has made it clear that he won’t be staying silent when he feels wronged.
