Sutton Stracke’s emotional journey on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills recently took viewers behind the scenes of her hometown of Augusta, Georgia, giving fans an inside look at her sometimes strained relationship with her strong-willed mother. In the February 2025 episodes, Stracke’s co-stars Garcelle Beauvais and Kyle Richards joined her on a visit that stirred up deep feelings and heartfelt conversations, making for an emotional viewing experience.

One of the most poignant moments came at the end of the episode titled Mind Your Business, where Sutton Stracke and her mother, Reba, had a touching conversation. In this exchange, Reba admitted she was proud of Sutton, something that Stracke clearly needed to hear. Richards reflected on the significance of this moment during the RHOBH After Show, sharing her perspective: “I remember when Sutton was opening her store, and she really wanted that validation from her mom and wasn’t getting it. So, just hearing ‘I’m proud of you’ [from Reba] meant so much to Sutton.” Richards continued, “I can’t imagine what that does psychologically, and if you can’t get that love and affection from home, you would want it from somewhere.”

Despite this breakthrough moment on screen, Stracke revealed that she hasn’t had a chance to discuss the aired episodes with her mother. “I haven’t talked to her about the episodes,” she told E!. Instead, their recent family conversations have centered on her youngest son, Philip’s, college decisions. “I don’t think she’s going to be too upset,” Stracke added, noting her mother’s age and self-awareness. “She’s 82 years old. She knows who she is.”
While discussing past Real Housewives scenes, Stracke also recalled a moment that her mother may not have fully approved of. Stracke referenced the infamous “weed” dinner from Season 13, hosted by Kyle Richards. “It’s Kyle’s dinner and I smoked pot,” Stracke said, explaining that it was a “weed dinner,” and she felt it was completely appropriate, especially since marijuana is legal in California.
