Could Lisa Vanderpump make her highly anticipated return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Garcelle Beauvais certainly seems to think so.
On the January 30 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, host Mark Consuelos asked the actress, “If you could bring back one of the former housewives, who would you bring back on the show?” Without hesitation, Garcelle Beauvais responded, “Lisa Vanderpump.”
But what makes Garcelle so sure about the possibility of Vanderpump’s return? “Oh yeah for sure she has some unfinished business,” Garcelle explained. “Her and I get along great, so, yeah, she would be a great ally.”
It’s important to note that Garcelle and Lisa never appeared on RHOBH together, as Lisa left the show after Season 9, while Garcelle joined the cast in Season 10. However, despite the timing difference, the two women have formed a strong friendship over the years.
In fact, their bond dates back to October 2021, when Lisa hosted a charity event for Haiti at her restaurant, Tom Tom, which Garcelle attended. “She was actually putting on an event for Haiti at Tom Tom. Yeah, and so I got to meet her,” Garcelle recalled in a 2022 interview with The Daily Dish. “There was Haitian music blaring. There were more Haitians than I knew there were in California that night there. So I just fell in love with what she was doing.”
As Garcelle sees it, the connection between her and Vanderpump is not just a friendship but a strategic one for the RHOBH universe. After all, Vanderpump’s return to the show would undoubtedly stir up drama, but it also has the potential to strengthen Garcelle’s position within the group. “She would be a great ally,” Garcelle said. It’s clear the actress values their relationship, and Vanderpump’s past experience as a RHOBH veteran could offer Garcelle an important edge.
While Garcelle’s enthusiasm for Vanderpump’s return might fuel rumors, Andy Cohen himself recently addressed speculation about Vanderpump’s potential return to the show. On the January 21 broadcast of his Sirius XM series, Radio Andy, Cohen clarified that while he has nothing but love for Vanderpump, the idea of her rejoining RHOBH doesn’t seem likely. He stated, “It was repeated all over the place that I’m trying to get Lisa Vanderpump back on The [Real] Housewives of Beverly Hills. Now, let me restate my abject love for Lisa Vanderpump, but I don’t know where the rumor came from. And, like, I kind of don’t see her coming back to that show
Cohen also pointed out that any connection Vanderpump might have with the current RHOBH cast would likely be through her friendship with Garcelle, since she is no longer close with other longtime members like Kyle Richards or Dorit Kemsley.
