I'm not getting all the sudden distrust of Musk, but I have been out of the loop for a few weeks. After foolishly clicking on the (full explicit) video of woman being burned alive in the subway, I just kind of turned off the news, opting for A Christmas Carol, Miracle on 34th Street, and The Bishop's Wife etc;.

The older I get...I totally get it. I turned off the news for a long time too. I saw this on the internet and continued to read even though I knew it was going to really upset me. Sometimes I feel like I have to read it in spite of the upset because I think the person who suffered needs to be heard in some way. Sort of an honour thing. Apologies, I know this is a bummer and this isn't the site to bring this kind of thing up but on a more positive note, I truly believe there is more good in the world than bad. So, here's to a Happy 2025!

That was horrible. That poor woman. God bless her. I live in the GTA for some of the year. This exact same thing happened here on June 17, 2022 to a young woman on her way to work as a caregiver. She was sitting on a bus and this evil monster poured lighter fluid on her and set her on fire. Her name was Nyima Dolma and she was only 28 years old. She died in hospital a few weeks later. On June 11, 2024, Tenzin Norbu, 33 was found not criminally responsible for her death by Superior Court Justice Maureen Forestell and will now be detained in a hospital setting. In other words, he got off. Apparently, they deemed he was insane and therefore not responsible for brutally killing this girl. He was originally charged with 1st degree murder. When is this going to stop? When does the judge, the defense lawyers AND prosecutors stop just going through the motions and start doing their f*cking jobs? They need to be held accountable and so does the monster that did this. Her Go Fund Me account only raised about 40K. I was disgusted. Sorry, but I was triggered by what happened to that poor woman in the subway because I think about this girl and her poor family all the time and I'm sick that they lost her like this and that they never got justice. This is the state of the Canadian Justice system. God bless them both.

The crazy thing was how the woman stood there (upright and vertical) and didn't even start responding or moving around until about 1 or 2 minutes in, at which time it became like watching a horror movie. Even worse was seeing the guy who did it calmly sitting on the bench just watching. Then as countless people walk by ignoring her, he then starts fanning the flames (to keep the fire going)! Meanwhile a certain political party fangirls "Luigi" for stalking and murdering a young husband and father. A stark reminder that pure evil walks among us.

Totally agree. Trump only has 3.5 years to do what he wants to do. I don't think Trump is blindly loyal to anyone BUT there were many who stabbed him in the back during his first administration. I think he's wiser now and I'm not totally trusting Musk either.
