Rachel Leviss Reflects on 'Sickening' Response to Abuse From Ex-Fiancé James Kennedy Amid Domestic Violence Arrest

Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, former star of Vanderpump Rules, is speaking out about her past relationship with ex-fiancé James Kennedy after recent reports of domestic violence involving him and his current girlfriend, Ally Lewber.

Rachel Leviss Reflects on ‘Sickening’ Response to Abuse From Ex-Fiancé James Kennedy Amid Domestic Violence Arrest

Rachel Leviss, 30, took to Instagram on December 13, 2024, sharing her thoughts on a TMZ headline that referred to Kennedy’s recent arrest for misdemeanor domestic violence as a “misunderstanding.” This arrest came after an alleged altercation between Kennedy, 32, and Lewber, 28, at a residence in Burbank, California, on December 10. Despite the allegations, sources have said that Lewber is standing by Kennedy, with a legal representative for the reality TV star stating that they are investigating the claims.

In Rachel Leviss Instagram post, Leviss shared a screenshot of the TMZ story and expressed the emotional toll the situation has had on her. “The amount of times I convinced myself that the abuse I endured by James Kennedy Georgiou was a ‘misunderstanding’ is sickening,” Leviss wrote in the caption. She urged her nearly 600,000 followers to listen to a previous episode of her podcast, Rachel Going Rogue, where she goes into further detail about her experiences.

The arrest, which stemmed from a call to Burbank police about an argument between a man and a woman, resulted in Kennedy’s detention on charges of misdemeanor domestic violence. Although no visible injuries were reported at the time, sources claimed that a witness saw Kennedy allegedly grab Lewber during the heated dispute. A police report revealed that Lewber claimed Kennedy picked her up and threw her to the ground before the officers arrived.

I remember season 3 at Scheana’s wedding when Kristen had to defend herself by punching him because he wouldn’t let her walk away from him. The producers did her so dirty with that edit and a lot of people blamed her for it when she was trying so hard to get herself out of a dangerous situation. I also remember when James spit on Kristen’s door in season 4 after he tried to get back together with her and threw a temper tantrum when she wouldn’t take him back. I also remember when he ‘bumped’ Rachel’s nose and he wouldn’t leave the doctor’s office when they went to get it checked out. That doctor was another show on E! Both E! and Bravo are owned by NBC. Bravo, LVP, and James probably convinced her to stay quiet by paying her off and paying for the procedure. It’s probably why Kristen was able to stay on the show so long despite LVP hating her and trying to get her off. And I hear it’s why Kristen got a spot on The Valley; rumor was she was about to blow up James and LVP’s spot with her story and Bravo bought her off with The Valley (which is an amazing show and I’m glad she’s doing better on there). But if James was able to do all that stuff on camera, why does anyone think he’s any better OFF camera? I like Kristen and think she’s genuinely a good (sometimes misguided) person. I never really cared for Rachel (though I felt sorry for her whenever people screamed at her on camera for no reason before Scandoval). I think both women are telling the truth.

So many abused women refuse to press charges and/or deny the abuse occurred even when it clearly has. I understand why some do, especially those with children they do not want separated from their husbands or who need the husbands income. While I think they should still press charges and seek help elsewhere, I can understand why they want to let things go ignored. But in this case, Kennedy is simply be let off and probably will be several times in the future until his girlfriend is either severely injured or has just had enough. As usually with him and so many others like him, he will not have to face any consequences for his actions. It's a shame.

I do believe James probably has a tendency to become physical, but at the end of the day, I think Raquel Rachel, and probably her therapist(s) are far more cray cray than James on his worst day. You can fix drinking ... you can't fix stupid.
