Documents obtained by People confirm that John Janssen, 64, filed a “notice of settlement” regarding his ongoing suit against Shannon Beador.

Almost a year ago, John filed a lawsuit against Shannon for $75,000 that he claimed to have loaned to her during their relationship for cosmetic surgery. But now John states that he and Shannon have come to a settlement, although, the details of the settlement are unclear.

Just last week, things got ugly when both John and Shannon requested a jury trial until they came to an agreement on November 15th.

During The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 reunion, Shannon Beador stated that she offered Janssen an agreed $70,000 if they signed a mutual non-disparagement agreement which John refused to do.

John Janssen’s current fiancee Alexis Bellino who is cast as a ‘friend’ of the Real Housewives said John didn’t want to sign it because he wanted to defend himself from false allegations.

In an RHOC confessional, John opened up on why he filed the lawsuit saying, “I didn’t want to take legal action – but my hands were tied as I was days away from crossing the statute of limitations of being able to do anything legally.” He stands by the fact that Shannon knew these were loans and that he had an email of her admitting it was a loan.

The Real Housewives of Orange County part three reunion airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.

I just think Shannon is delusional… I mean anyone else see her stuff her body into these dresses and think the spanx is gonna hide it?? I mean come on she not have a mirror??

So the case is settled, but with an NDA in place, so we're never going to know the details of the settlement. In short, we've been snookered.

Ain’t that a b*tch? Ah well, moving on, I reckon… ?

Since all we can do is speculate … my guess is she paid him the previous offer (of $70K) and then both lawyers beefed up an NDA that they that both could adhere to.

Yep, I agree. It’s unseemly it devolved into this spectacle too. ?And not for nothing but Johnny J, donning that big ole cross necklace (for everyone to see doncha know ?), might want to crack open the Bible and actually read what Jesus had to say about taking your fellow Christian to court. IJS. ?
?BOOM! ?

We obviously don't know all the details, but writing a check to someone for such a specific amount, and for such a specific thing … was a no brainer for me.

Champagne Hangover November 21, 2024 - 4:37 pm

And gee whiz willikers we ALL know what a HERCULEAN effort it takes to write the word ‘loan’ on the check, you know, in that space provided JUST FOR THAT PURPOSE ?. Oh, the strain on ol’ Johnny J’s writin’ hand was just too much to do the one thing that would have sunk Shannon’s claims BEFORE any of this unnecessary foolery could have even happened. Well, that and the dumb f*ck getting a promissory note BEFORE the money changed hands. ? But never mind all THAT ?

Funny you mention that; I almost wrote it, but then decided to look it up. It's a common myth that the memo line on a check has legal force, but it doesn't (it's just for informational purposes). Think about it; anyone can write whatever they want (in the memo) especially after the check is processed and returned to the writer. However, I would have thought a court can see a photograph of the original check. Apparently not. This concludes todays lesson in Law: 101.

I did not know that. Now do the missing promissory note…?

Does this mean that we've seen the end of Johnny J…can't stand that guy.

Season ends. So does the lawsuit much of the season story line was based on.

Coincidence? I think not.

Johnny J is a cautionary tale for all single middle age women.

Especially high profile women. JJ is becoming the Harry Dubin of Newport Beach. Slade Smiley revisited.
