RHONJ OG Teresa Giudice is opening up about her time behind bars nearly ten years after serving an 11-month sentence for tax fraud.

So much has changed in Teresa Giudice‘s life since she exited prison on December 23, 2015, that it’s almost hard to remember that she served 11 months at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Conn.

The RHONJ OG and her now ex-husband, Joe Giudice, pleaded guilty to bank, mail, wire, bankruptcy, and tax fraud in 2014. Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in prison, which was later downgraded to 11 months due to good behavior, while Joe got 41 months behind bars.

Now, almost a decade later, Teresa is opening up about her time behind bars, her anger towards Joe Giudice, and more.

“I have to say the food was really good. And I actually cooked there,” Teresa shared during an appearance on the Hollywood Raw podcast with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn.

“I cooked dinner for everyone,” Teresa revealed, noting that she made things like chicken stir fry and banana nut muffins.

When asked how many people she cooked for in prison, the RHONJ star said: “First, it was a camp setting. I think there was maybe 200. My roommate was a politician. I was in there with doctors, lawyers. Yeah, I mean, I’ve met a lot of cool people in there.”

On the podcast, Teresa also admitted that she staged her prison release photo to make some cash.

“The only time [I made a deal with paparazzi was] when I got out of jail,” Teresa confessed, referring to her deal with PEOPLE magazine for exclusive photos of her prison release at 5 am on December 23, 2015.

“They wanted the first photo, and I did it,” she explained. “I was like, ‘If they’re going to get it anyway, I might as well make money off of it.’”

Teresa did not reveal how much she made on the photos but explained that she believes the deal was put together by her reps at the time.

During the podcast, the RHONJ OG then revealed that it “took a long time” for her to “forgive” her now ex-husband Joe because her parents died not too long after her release from jail.

“I came home, I lost my mom eight months later. And then my dad moved in with us, and he was so upset,” she recalled. “He cried for a year straight after my mother passed away, and then I had my dad with us for three years, and then he passed away.”

Teresa noted that she and Joe “don’t talk that much” these days but says she will communicate with him when she “[needs] him.”

It's true that they would never have been charged if she wasn't on TV. Teresa and Joe were made examples of. Just ridiculous. It must have been horrible for Teresa to have her so called friends and even members of her family turn on her during her darkest moment. And then to lose her parents. Teresa has always been a loving daughter and close to her parents. But she paid her dues to society as did Joe and the fact that they have been able to achieve so much in just 8 years is remarkable. And just goes to show that they should never have been jailed in the first place. Their children are educated. They don't do drugs and they don't run around. Teresa is successful ( and Joe seems to be as well) and the best part is they are HAPPY. Teresa is an example to anyone who is going through a really dark time not to give up. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

LMAO. She stole from companies, small businesses and banks. Paid them back at a fraction, went to PRISON, and now owes the IRS another $1,000,000. Her kids are surely damaged and her implants look ridiculous. If she had any money, she should spend it on getting them redone.

It only exists here for some or so it seems. I was on some site and it was hilarious reading and seeing all the negative comments there were about Teresa's family's (plus Aydin's) pictures they posted when they were in the Bahamas around New Year's. There were lots and lots of comments with about 95% negative, if not more. I think it was the Sun or something like that.

You are so smart. I started part way through with BH. Then it was over so I watched NY. Then it was over and I watched NJ, barely, because it was the most trashy and a lot of it was because of Teresa.

I just never could get into NJ. I think it was because of the onslaught of NJ shows at one time. It all became too much for me and I had to just nope out of all of them. I should have done the same with the ATL shows, but I didn’t so not that smart. Lol ?

PS--"What else do you want?" We want her fired before she ruins the show into oblivion like what happened to NY, however it is too late and I'd bet they will can it after the season airs and start over if they consider the new NY to be a success! They were too chicken after last season (and the one before) to get rid of Teresa and Luis so now they will have to trash it all.

Blush is talking about something well outside their wheelhouse. The indictment for count one, or the mail and wire fraud was literally three pages of a conviction. To plead guilty only part or none of it can be true. As it’s a PLEA agreement or deal you’re reaching with the prosecution. People like Blush who don’t know what they’re talking about just sound and look dumb. They’re the Karen’s of the World.

Regardless, the felon was charged, convicted and imprisoned because she is a greedy liar and chooses to live beyond her means. That hasn't changed. Precious Luis will be trashing her sooner or later and then you'll change your tune. IMO

They aren't paid. Most of her blatant crimes weren't close to 20 years old! Why wasn't Joe's partner paid the ordered restitution and all the people they ripped off filing bankruptcy? Why does she STLL owe federal income taxes for 8 different years as recent as the 2021 tax year totaling close to $700,000? How much did she not pay for 2022? Did Luis pay his? I guess when a lien is attached to Luis's LLC house, we will find out!
