RHOBH’s Annemarie Wiley isn’t holding back. The newbie blasts “sloppy” and “awkward” Denise Richards and “Jekyll and Hyde” Sutton Stracke.
Annemarie Wiley may be the new girl on the RHOBH block, but that doesn’t mean she’s playing nice as she navigates the world of Real Housewives.
The 40-year-old isn’t holding back when it comes to sharing her opinion on her RHOBH co-stars, whether it’s good, bad, or ugly.
The RHOBH rookie appeared on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, where she took shots at several of her co-stars.
Annemarie compares Sutton Stracke to “Jekyll and Hyde” while defending her friend Kyle Richards.
“It’s almost like two steps forward, one step back with Sutton,” the nurse anesthetist said.
“You think you’re kind of getting to a good place, and then she kind of brings out the talons, and she kind of does a 180, and this whole Jekyll and Hyde situation starts happening,” she adds.
The mom of three says that coming into the group was difficult because her first meeting with the RHOBH cast involved several of the ladies attacking Kyle.
“It was hard because coming into this group of ladies, my first time meeting everybody at the dinner at Kyle’s house, and there’s body-shaming, there’s fit-shaming, there’s sober-shaming,” Annemarie recalls.
“So, I’m seeing my friend who has brought me into this group of ladies be bombarded and attacked about making healthy lifestyle choices.”
Annemarie also admits she’s sorry for her “facetious” remarks about Sutton‘s narrow esophagus issues.
“Let me just start by saying [sorry] to anyone and everyone that was hurt, offended with me saying my facetious remark: ‘Oh, if you have a stricture, you just chew your food,’” she said.
“I was being very facetious when I said that. And lesson learned in that, as a [medical] professional on this platform, I now understand that I’m not going to be given the same kind of … leeway to be nonsensical like some of the other ladies will be with some things.”
Meanwhile, Annemarie also has quite a bit to say about Denise Richards and her “sloppy” cameo on RHOBH during season 13.
Like most Bravo fans, Annemarie was quite uncomfortable by Denise’s eye-browraising and “sloppy” return to RHOBH.
“It was a little bit awkward to be around, honestly,” Annemarie said. “And it was a little bit uncomfortable to see it after the fact.”
“Denise had a few other things kind of going on at the dinner, perhaps,” she opines. “I don’t know.”
While Annemarie isn’t sure what Denise may have had going on in her personal life that caused her odd behavior, she does believe that the former RHOBH came back with a plan to go after Erika Jayne.
“It was very clear that when Denise came in, she had an agenda. She was there for one reason, and one reason only, and that was to get something out of Erika,” she said. “What she wanted out of Erika, I feel like, is still not actually even clear.”
Despite not being present for Denise and Erika’s showdown at Crystal Minkoff‘s Taco Tuesday party, the RHOBH newbie said she felt the Pretty Mess singer won the battle and “ended that discussion” after watching the drama play out on Bravo.
“You don’t want to mess with an activated Erika Jayne, and Denise should know that … Denise, I don’t know why she kept trying. Erika gave it to her because she asked for it,” she said.
“And although I don’t love that they were talking about Denise’s daughter, but that’s what the original story was about — and that was long before me. She just kept pushing, and Erika didn’t even want to talk about it.”
When asked if she thinks Denise was attempting to reclaim her RHOBH diamond, the rookie said, “I mean, if that’s what she’s after, then I feel like that’s a very sloppy way of doing it.”
“She made a really big impact, but it just wasn’t the classiest of ways to do it. So I feel like if that’s what she was after, I don’t know.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
