Denial ain’t just a river in Egypt as Mark Twain infamously said. Kim Zolciak is doing all she can to shut down the gossip that her Georgia mansion is in foreclosure.
Notably, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum wants anybody and everybody to know the entire ordeal is a big old “misunderstanding.”
Kim Zolciak Continues to Deny Reality
A source close to the former Bravo star tells PEOPLE:
“She is telling everyone this is a misunderstanding and is being sorted out. She’s not moving.”
Despite the writing on the wall, the insider says Kim remains “unbothered” by the news.
Brielle and Ariana Speak Out
On Wednesday, TMZ caught up with Kim and Kroy oldest daughters who were peppered about their family home being auctioned off.
According to both of the 20-somethings, their family house is not being auctioned off in March while noting they have been down this road already in November.
Ariana said about the rumors:
Crazy, insane. Don’t believe everything you hear. Everything is still [in the house] we all live there.
She added:
The house is already saved. We will see you March 7.
The 411 on Kim’s Mansion
Kim and her husband, Kroy Biermann, have defaulted on a $1.65 million loan they took out on their Georgia home in 2012.
Similarly, the couple faced foreclosure in 2014 over an outstanding debt of $10,567.67. Ultimately that debt was settled in June 2021.
Kim and Kroy purchased the 6000 sq ft property in 2012 for $880k. It later served as the backdrop for their Bravo spinoff show, Don’t Be Tardy. The show aired on Bravo for eight seasons before the network canceled it in 2021.
Presently, Kim and Kroy share the home with their six kids: Brielle, 25; Ariana, 21; KJ, 11; Kash, 10; and twins Kaia and Kane, 9.
What Kim has Previously Claimed
Surprisingly, this isn’t Kim’s first time denying the news concerning her home.
In November, Kim shut down rumors about her home being in foreclosure.
On her Instagram Story, Kim quipped:
“Ok, you guys, my house has not sold for $257,000.If you guys think I would let my home, that we’ve put millions and millions of dollars into, go for $257,000, you’re an idiot, okay? For real.”
“So, what are you gonna do, haters, when I’m here for Christmas, and I’m here for my birthday in May, and I’m here for all these amazing dates? I’m here until I f—ing want to move until I decide I don’t want to live here anymore. So, enjoy the view, haters. You’re going to be seeing it for quite some time.”
What Happens Next
A rep at the Fulton County Tax Assessor’s Office tells Page Six:
There are current outstanding fees, including penalties, listed for the multimillion-dollar property.
Therefore, Truist Bank will auction off the property on March 7 at the Fulton County Courthouse.
Afterward, Kim, Kroy, and their kids will have to vacate their home of eleven years.
Kim and Kroy’s Networth
Surprisingly, Kim and Kroy have quite a bit of coin in the bank, according to CelebrityNetWorth.com.
Kim is reportedly worth $3 million, while her former NFL husband has a net worth of $5.5 million.
However, their spending habits and debt may cancel all their accumulated wealth.
Kim once lost $250k while gambling in the Bahamas. She once boasted about stuffing slot machines with $100 bills in Las Vegas.
On the other hand, Kroy was previously accused of owing his former agent $22,000 in unpaid fees.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta will return to Bravo in mid-2023.
