Joe Gorga’s infamous temper came out to play in a newly released video from TMZ.
In the video, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star freaks out on one of his tenants for allegedly not paying rent for the last four years.
The dramatic showdown occurred on Thursday in Hawthorne, NJ profanities and accusations coming from both directions.
Joe’s lawyer, W. Peter Ragan, claims that the tenant owes nearly $50,000 in back rent however said tenant claims that Joe received a chunk of the back rent from New Jersey’s COVID relief program.
While Ragan confirms Joe received $40,000 in COVID rental assistance from the state he notes that the tenant hasn’t paid rent since October 2018 and still owes Joe nearly $50,000.
As for why the reality TV star didn’t kick the tenant to the curb sooner Joe’s rep Mike Martocci says Joe felt bad for the guy and didn’t want to evict him. However, he’s now had a change of heart and has filed eviction papers.
Meanwhile, the tenant claims he lost his restaurant job during COVID and is trying to get back on his feet following the pandemic.
