RHONY Producers Having Zero Luck Finding ‘Diverse’ Cast For RHONY Reboot

RHONY Season 13 Andy Cohen

There’s trouble in the Big Apple.

Sources tell Radar Online that producers are having trouble casting for the upcoming Real Housewives of New York reboot.

Producers are “actively interviewing” potential newbies for season 14 of the show but are “not having success.”

An insider claims the criteria for the new ladies are proving to be problematic. Bravo wants already built-in “organic chemistry” to exist between the cast.

The network is looking for a “diverse group” of ladies “who are already friends.” Casting interviews for women between the ages of 30 and 40 have been happening but producers aren’t having any luck. Producers want characters with substance – kids, careers, wealth, etc. as they need to be able to create storylines from their lives.

Rumor has it no red apples have been given out to date. A source close to production confirms that “no offers” have been handed out just yet.

Season 14 of RHONY is set to begin production in the Fall of 2022.

RHONY will return to Bravo in 2023.
