Andy Cohen Slams Leah McSweeney’s “Cocaine” Allegations as Lawsuit Drama Intensifies

Andy Cohen is firing back at former Real Housewives of New York City star Leah McSweeney—and he’s not holding back.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the Bravo executive is calling McSweeney’s explosive claims that he used cocaine “nonsense,” arguing she has no real proof to support the accusations.

The legal battle stems from a lawsuit filed by Leah McSweeney, in which she alleged she was pressured to drink while filming The Real Housewives of New York City—despite being sober at the time. McSweeney also claimed that Andy Cohen used cocaine with certain Bravo stars and treated cast members more favorably if they partied with him.

Now, Cohen, along with Bravo and the show’s producers, is pushing back hard—and trying to get parts of the lawsuit thrown out altogether.

In newly filed court documents, Cohen’s legal team reportedly argues that McSweeney’s evidence is shaky at best. According to the filing, her claims “consist of two anonymous cast members who ‘privately confirmed’ her allegations, one former cast member who called Cohen a ‘cocaine head’ after she was not recast as a Housewife, and a ‘public video’ created by an unspecified person that references Cohen’s supposed cocaine use.”

Cohen also points out a key detail: McSweeney does not cite a single instance where she personally witnessed him using cocaine.

As a result, he is asking the court to strike all allegations related to cocaine use from the lawsuit.

This latest development comes after a federal judge ruled in March that the case would proceed in court, denying Bravo’s attempt to move the dispute into arbitration—a decision that kept the controversy in the public spotlight.

For context, McSweeney’s lawsuit is part of a broader wave of scrutiny surrounding reality TV production practices, particularly claims about alcohol use and behind-the-scenes pressure on cast members. While similar allegations have surfaced across the reality TV landscape, Cohen and Bravo have consistently denied wrongdoing.

At this stage, the case is still unfolding—and while Cohen is aggressively challenging the claims, McSweeney’s legal team has yet to publicly respond to this latest push.

One thing’s clear: this Real Housewives drama is no longer just playing out on screen.

I believe it was Danielle Staub and Brandi Landfill who have also accused Cohen of snorting snow with Slurinda, Sonja, and Carole (I threw in the last part on my own). https://media4.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTg5OGZmOWM5dG5sMnZ2Mjd0MmVrdDh6MTM3ZHJyYTczOWN4cmloazlmeHoxM3k3NyZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/3o6fJ8BSpsLyAdIfQY/giphy-downsized-small.mp4
