Talk about a pretty mess!
Erika Jayne quickly changed the caption of a post on Instagram after Bravo fans accused Lisa Rinna of blackfishing.
On Thursday, January 20, Lisa hosted a disco-themed bash for her latest Rinna Beauty launch, and the entire Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast was in attendance.
The following day photos from the party started trickling in on social media; however, one of the first photos posted on Instagram caused quite a bit of controversy.
Erika posted a photo of her and Lisa with the caption: “Donna and Jerry,” referring to 70s icons Donna Summer and Jerry Hall.
She later changed the caption to Cher and Jerry after fans accused Lisa of blackfishing due to her overly bronzed skin tone.
“If that is Donna Summers [sic]…..Rinna be hitting up the black face!” one fan commented.
“Lisa Rina [sic] stay problematic #blackfishing,” another quipped.
“@lisarinna @rinnabeauty that… that is blackface; blackfishing at best. do. better,” a third fan shared.
