Jen Shah Demands That Fraud Case Get Tossed; Insists Feds Spilled Too Much Detail in Hulu Documentary

Jen Shah in legal trouble

Jen Shah wants the fraud case against her dropped following Hulu’s investigative documentary, The Housewife and the Shah Shocker, premiered on Monday.

In the documentary, two federal agents sat down for interviews and spilled the tea on Jen’s alleged telemarketing fraud scheme that led to her arrest in March 2021.

According to TMZ, which obtained a copy of recently filed legal documents, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star claims that Homeland Security agents Rick Patel and Agnieszka Norman revealed private details about the case that weren’t privy to the public.

The Bravo star took issue with their comments about the “lavish lifestyle” of “fraudsters” and alleges that two statements in particular made by the agents painted her in a negative light.

Jen says that Norman made “highly prejudicial” statements about her allegedly hiding money in offshore accounts. She also took issue with Norman, suggesting that the case against her began following an investigation into a narcotics smuggling ring.

As for Patel, Jen claims that he divulged information on the ins and outs of her arrest.

The reality TV star now argues that the jury pool is tainted by what the federal agents revealed in the documentary. As a result, Jen wants the whole case tossed out.

Hulu’s documentary on Jen premiered on Monday, November 29. Jen’s fraud trial is set to start in March 2022 unless the court grants her demand to toss the case.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
