Buckle up Bravo fans because there’s some major gossip circulating about season 14 of the Real Housewives of New York.
Not surprisingly, all of this tea is being brought to us by Deux Moi, who seems to have the 411 on EVERYTHING Bravo.
According to Deux Moi, Bethenny Frankel, Ramona Singer, Tinsley Mortimer, and Eboni K Williams will all be returning to RHONY for season 14.
Current RHONY star Luann de Lesseps will reportedly be returning in a ‘friend’ role.
The gossip outlet also reports that there will be 3 new housewives joining the cast next season.
This dramatic shake-up won’t come as a surprise to fans, who seem to have lost interest in the show as of late. Season 13 has brought the franchise its lowest ratings in the history of the show.
Producers are reportedly eyeing Ramona’s friend Lucia Hwong Gordon to join the cast. They are also looking for someone famous to help boost the ratings. Former host of The View Sherri Shepherd is rumored to be at the top of the list.
Another Deux Moi source says that Bravo has only briefly talked to former RHONY star Tinsley Mortimer about making a potential return to the franchise. The source notes that Tins has nothing going on and can’t talk about ex-fiance Scott Kluth because “he is a monster and will sue anyone.” Producers also don’t think she can save the show.
The source adds that Bethenny Frankel wants to have an executive producer credit and help form the show, “i.e., who stays, who goes, she only films 3 days a week, etc.”
The source further confirms that Luann de Lesseps will be demoted to a ‘friend’ role and that Dorinda Medley “is likely still on pause till next year.”
“No final decisions will be made for a bit, we haven’t even finished casting yet,” the source added.
With all of this, it seems that current stars Leah McSweeney and Sonja Morgan will be out. It’s unclear if the network plans to keep them on as “friends” of the Housewives.
While this gossip is super juicy, Chief Real Housewives Correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, Brice Sander, reports that there is no truth to these rumors.
“I’ve been told there’s “zero truth” to everything Deux Moi’s posted today re: #RHONY recasting,” he tweeted.
He added, “Andy said it was likely they’d keep the current #RHONY lineup + add women, a la the 8 ‘Wife line-up of season 7.”
The Real Housewives of New York City airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
