Buckle up because some major shakeups are coming to the Real Housewives of New York.
A new report reveals that the NY Housewives are “panicking” as producers determine who’s getting fired and re-hired for season 14 of the franchise.
This news comes as the ratings for season 13 continue to plummet each week.
A source tells The Sun that many members of the RHONY cast are concerned over whether or not they will be asked back for season 14.
RHONY currently stars Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Leah McSweeney, and newbie Eboni K. Williams.
The insider revealed: “Things are in a complete state of panic amongst the cast of RHONY.”
“Ramona is NOT the only one on the chopping block,” the source confessed. “There could be a complete revamp of the show, and three or more people may be fired.”
The source added: “Eboni, Ramona, and Leah are ALL in danger.”
The Housewife that seems to be in the most jeopardy of being fired is Ramona.
“People have been very vocal about their dislike for Ramona this season. It doesn’t make sense to have her on the show anymore. She has become completely unlikable,” the insider said.
They continued: “As for Leah and Eboni, they have been criticized by viewers on social media. And Eboni blaming producers for low ratings last week doesn’t help her case.”
While certain members of the RHONY cast are on the chopping block, others seem to be safe.
Longtime stars Luann and Sonja seem to be the only two NY Housewives Bravo is planning to keep around as they rebuild the franchise.
The insider said: “Luann and Sonja seem to be the only two in the cast that are safe. The audience likes them, and they test well.”
However, the source notes that the current RHONY casting situation is a “nightmare.”
The season 13 reunion has been pushed back to at least September, so filming for season 14 won’t begin until 2022.
The source claimed that “pushing the start of filming for next season back to next year has everyone in panic,” adding: “The cast want to know if they’re getting a check or not.”
“Producers wait until the very last minute to make offers to the cast they want,” the source notes. “The panic among the current cast will go for months as they scramble to find new cast members. It’s a straight-up mess.”
The Real Housewives of New York City airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
