The drama is heating up in Salt Lake City.
Seemingly out of nowhere, drama has erupted between Real Housewives of Salt Lake City stars Mary Cosby and Heather Gay.
On Friday, via Instagram, Mary slammed Heather and accused her of being “racist.”
“If you want to know why I Blocked Heather Gay is [sic] because Heather Gay is a racist! … LETS SPEAK TRUTH!!” Mary said in a text block.
She then captioned the post, “If you want my Truth ask me! I never did anything to #heather… She’s a #karen; if your not [sic] African American, then you will not know! I speak Truth! I don’t tolerate haters! I would have never said anything if she would have #keepyourmouthshut.”
This claim is quite shocking, considering Mary’s history of questionable statements. If you recall, during season one of RHOSLC, she was on the other side of a race-related scandal.
Jen Shah claimed that Mary previously told her she was scared of black men who hang out in front of Seven-11. At the RHOSLC season one reunion, Mary denied the claim, saying, “I’m black. My son is black.”
At another point at the reunion, she said that black men are “not my taste” despite being married to her step-grandfather Robert Cosby Sr, a black man.
She later clarified, “I need to improve on the way I convey things…The way I say things can come across [as] offensive. I think all colors of black are beautiful, and I’m proud of it, and I’m proud of my culture.”
Heather has yet to react to Mary’s accusations.
RHOSLC will return to Bravo for season 2 in late 2021 or early 2022.
