The police officer who arrested LuAnn De Lesseps, star of The Real Housewives of New York, recently got fired for making unsubstantiated arrests! According to The Blast, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder made the announcement at a news conference in Florida. The Sheriff claimed that Deputy Steven O’Leary recently made three separate narcotics arrests, that was later discovered to have no narcotics, after the alleged drugs were tested in the crime lab. Sheriff Snyder said that nine people have been released over these bogus arrests, and that officials are now going over the evidence again that he had turned in for the 80 drug related offenses he’s been handling.
Steven O’Leary was allegedly attacked by the Real Housewives star in 2017 when he was working for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Luann had been arrested for felony battery of an officer, disorderly intoxication, and resisting an arrest with violence. There were photos released after the incident that showed Steven with injuries on his face, that were allegedly due to the RHONY star. LuAnn ended up cutting a deal with prosecutors to avoid jail. She had to attend AA meetings and she went to rehab. Steven had transferred to Martin’s County, which is where he just lost his job.
Wow! This is scandalous. Police officers are supposed to be honest and truthful. If he was making bogus arrests that is terrible. I wonder how many more of his arrests and cases are going to be opened up and looked at again after this. I’m glad that LuAnn seems to be on a good path now, though. She seems to be doing really good! Going to AA and rehab has been great for her. Life is all about learning lessons and moving forward. Onward and upward!
