Kyle Richards seems to have it all: hot husband, beautiful family, Beverly Hills home and last but not least – a great head of hair!

Kyle recently opened up to People about her happy home life along with the parts of her life that weren’t so happy.

On her marriage to Mauricio, Kyle says: “We’re a really good match,” Richards,tells PEOPLE. “We get along really well, actually better than you see on television!”

Adds Mauricio, “We’re best friends. We actually enjoy each other. She’s funny, she makes me laugh. I don’t have big guys nights out; Kyle is the person I want to spend most of my time with.”

Well that’s sweet! Kyle went on to note that the fights in their marriage are far from epic or dramatic:

“We fight about the temperature in the room. He always wants it cold!”

Kyle went on to share that she has always dreamed of having the family life that she is living now:

“I grew up in a divorced family, and I had a very different upbringing. Now I have a husband I’m in love with who I’m excited to see every day and kids who are together and really tight.”

Kyle also shared about some of the darker points in her family life, specifically some of the darker points growing up with her sister Kim Richards:

“I thought she was so magical,” says Kyle. “But on the other side of that, we would fight. Kim would scratch me until she drew blood and I’d bite her and leave marks. I thought it was normal!”

On Kim’s alcoholism Kyle states, “I used to be very angry with Kim about her issues. We had so many fights over the years. But seeing the show in season 1 opened my eyes a lot. People were like, ‘Poor Kim,’ and I was like, ‘Wait, I thought we were the victims!’ It made me realize, alcoholism is a disease and she can’t help this. It taught me a lot.”

We’ve seen the Richards infamous fights on RHOBH so hearing that there were epic fights growing up is no surprise. I’m glad that after a tumultuous upbringing Kyle now has the stable family life that she always craved.

We’ve seen the Housewives series ruin relationships and complicate lives; however Kyle is claiming that it’s actually doing the opposite for her sister Kim!

Kyle spoke with TMZ and when asked if being on reality TV was the best atmosphere for someone going through issues like Kim is, Kyle responded:

“In a lot of ways the show has saved Kim. It brought her issues to light but is also forced her to kind of go and get the help she needed and face her issues. It was somewhere to get up everyday and be accountable so in many ways the show was good for my sister Kim – but it is still stressful no matter what.”

While being on the show may have brought Kim’s issues to light, Kim also revealed on her ‘Dr. Phil’ special that reading the blogs triggered her behavior before her arrest. Dr. Phil even pointed out that it was possible Kim couldn’t handle the stress from being on the show, so we have mixed feelings with what Kyle has to say.

On to a much lighter and happier note – Kyle’s mother in law, Estella (who we have seen make appearances on the show) shared a cute video via Facebook celebrating Hanukkah, starring none other than Mauricio and Kyle along with Estella’s daughter and son in law. You can watch the video below:
