The Real Housewives of New York are back on and Sonja Morgan recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to discuss everything. She talked about a wide range of topics including her friendship with Ramona Singer, how she’s out of bankruptcy, Tinsley Mortimer being herself this season, toaster ovens, curtains, Carole Radziwill, and this season of the RHONY!
Sonja is out of bankruptcy, however; she said she’s not happy-go-lucky because she has an eighteen year old daughter she has to get through college first. Sonja said, “Well, I’m not happy-go-lucky, I have an eighteen year old to get through college. But I’m out of my chapter 11, reorganization. Which means I paid 100% on the dollar.” As for her friendship with Ramona Singer, they are friends. Sonja said she loves Ramona at the end of the day. Sonja said, “And I do love her but sometimes I want to punch her face in.”
Does she still keep in touch with Carole Radziwill? Here’s what she had to say: “Okay I would say without Carole, you know I never had a problem with Carole – we were good friends. People say I don’t stay in touch, you know I went to Paris, I ate croissants, and I didn’t even go to museums. But Tinsley has come into her own, she’s really, you’re gonna see this season. Tinsley being Tinsley and it’s been really, a lot of fun. So that’s all I have to say about that.”
Did she get curtains yet? Yes!
Sonja said, “Yes but I didn’t want to rush into it. I’m very conservative. So I taped, I duct taped up the towels in the meantime.” She added, “No, I put up the currents because I don’t wanna jump into blinds and the city quiet windows. Because it was so loud on Columbus Circle and you have to paint your apartment first.”
Furthermore; she said, “Well, it’s classy, I have a monogram. It’s practical, I cook in a toaster oven I use Sharpie markers. I’m a practical woman! No I had to get these city quiet windows to make it quiet, had to do the New York City blinds, but you don’t just jump into these ten thousand dollar deals. You must paint the apartment first, in the meantime put up your old towels from Bloomingdale’s with the monogram.”
Sonja talked about the toaster ovens she was creating, which has been shown on the RHONY. She said, “Okay so here’s the thing, I have an international fashion lifestyle brand, in case Amy Phillips hasn’t driven that home. So eventually I would like to have homeware. Bring the toaster back!”

Wow! I’m looking forward to the reunion to see what is going on. I’m all for Kenya returning to the show, she brings a lot of drama and entertainment. It would be fun to watch her now that she’s a mommy, because these milestones change the dynamics for her big time. I don’t know what is going on with Nene and the rest of the cast, I’m hoping we get answers at the reunion. I’d like to see them all return back next year, with the addition of Kenya and maybe another newbie. I want to see some good changes for the show!
