These two RHONY originals are still good friends!

Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin’s friendship on The Real Housewives of New York was a roller coaster. However; to this day they have remained friends. Jill is going through a hard time after the passing of her husband, Bobby Zarin, and Ramona has been there for her!

Ramona told Bravo’s The Daily Dish recently, “I think Jill is doing surprisingly well. She has a great support system. I know it’s difficult. How can it not be difficult? But, I think, with all things considered, she’s doing really great.”

Jill and Ramona were always hot and cold on RHONY. Sometimes they would get along great, while other times they would be arguing and criticizing one another. Remember their blow up fight in Morocco that ended with them both in tears? All that aside, they are better than ever right now. In fact they are taking trips together again! (This time enjoyable ones!) Ramona explained, “Jill and I came to terms with each other when I visited her and Bobby at the hospital when he got really ill in July. And I was there for 45 minutes and we really spoke from the heart to each other and we really took our friendship back to where it used to be and to a different level because before we were always at odds with each other.”

Then he sadly passed away, so Ramona made it a point to be there for her. Ramona recalled, “And then he passed on and I felt really bad for her, of course, and I went to the services and she knew I was going on this trip to Morocco with 20 other women.” Which led to Ramona having Jill come with her!

Ramona told the story with a play by play, “She said, ‘You know, Ramona, I’m thinking of going on this trip to Morocco. Do you mind if I come too?’ I go, ‘Absolutely! Come! You should get away, be with your friends.’ She was with her parents first in Florida. Then she went to visit Ally in London. And then she met us in Morocco. And I’m glad she came. You need to keep busy when you lose someone who’s so much a part of your life for so many years. You know, the last thing you want to do is wake up and look at four empty walls and look to the spot next to you and he’s not there. You need to keep busy and be around people who care about you.”

Jill shared a photo of her with Ramona, and captioned it, “it feels good to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.”

I’m very glad to see that Ramona is being a support system for Jill during her time of need! It’s refreshing that Jill and Ramona are back to their solid friendship. It seems like all of the background noise is finally gone when it comes to their friendship, which is a great thing for them. Things are only onward and upward for these Bravo beauties! Perhaps Jill will start appearing more again RHONY? We’ll have to stay tuned.
