RHONY Recap: Not so Model Behavior!

Happy Friday New York fans! I know the days of the week have stopped seeming significant, so fortunately we have the Real Housewives to remind us what day it is.

We start out with NYFW and no, the ladies did not go to Kyle x Shahida to see the robes and caftans. Tinsley Mortimer makes her triumphant return to fashion week and closes the show for an edgy, futuristic designer. Tins may no longer be the ‘It’ girl of NYC but this proves to herself (and Dale) that she still has it in her (curly hair and all.)

The ladies meet for lunch to discuss the fashion; however, they were upset with Leah for missing the second show as they had first row seats which made it obvious she wasn’t there. Leah reveals that her mom is not speaking to her as Leah has returned to drinking, and after the last episode, I think her mom has legit reasons to be concerned. Leah revealed this information via text to her mother and defends herself by stating it’s the millennial in her that made her do it. At the end of the day, if Leah wants to drink it’s her decision; however it seems that everyone who loves her (including her ex) remembers her dark days and is scared for her. Perhaps she should pump the breaks on the Hamptons naked, tiki torch soirees:

The ladies continue the catwalk tour of the Big Apple, as they stop by Sonja’s International Luxury lifestyle brand fashion show (and I’m using the term ‘fashion show’ very loosely here.) Dorinda is stepping over seating arrangements and Leah was given sweats, a pimp hat, and some Elton John sunglasses to wear to the show. I’m not sure what Sonja was going with this look but it’s definitely not ‘luxury yacht wear’ material – that’s for sure:

It’s hard to stay mad at Sonja when she is so lovable by taking this horrendous outfit and modeling it herself – proving how unflattering and horrible it really is. It’s definitely got ‘pimp going to the gym’ vibes; however maybe the jokes on everyone else. Perhaps Sonja was simply a visionary and knew that everyone would be practically living in sweats in 2020?

 

Overall it was a fun, light episode with just the right amount of shade thrown in to make it interesting. Take note other franchises – this is how it’s done!

Sutton Stracke Thinks Teddi Mellencamp Is Boring

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie Sutton Stracke isn’t holding back – at all.

The claws came out on Wednesday’s episode of RHOBH when Sutton shared her first impression of Teddi Mellencamp. Things got so ugly that Teddi walked away from the conversation in tears.

During Kyle Richards‘ very awkward dinner party on this week’s RHOBH, the ladies went around the table and shared their first impressions of each other.

While the ladies all played nice and gushed over each other, Sutton decided to take a different route despite being all about good manners and proper behavior.

“I’m gonna be very honest. I thought that Teddi, maybe you were gonna be a little boring,” she said to Teddi as the ALL IN owner awkwardly laughed. “I’m sorry. Are we supposed to be honest, or not?”

Sutton continued, “That was my first impression. And then, pregnant? God help us.”

However, Sutton didn’t stop there and continued to go on.

“But you’re way more interesting than I thought!” Sutton said. “I didn’t know the depth of who you were.”

Teddi, who was taken aback by Sutton’s comments, asked if she had done something to offend her.

“Because you kind of come at me,” Teddi said as a flashback scene between her and Sutton going back and forth over the invitation to Teddi’s ALL IN retreat played out. “Like, what’s happening here?”

Teddi then says to make things “really easy” Sutton shouldn’t come to the retreat.

In an attempt to help, Lisa Rinna and Garcelle Beauvais chime in that they were both relieved they don’t have to attend.

However, this doesn’t help at all and causes Teddi to break down in tears even more.

“If nobody wants to come, don’t come!” an emotional Teddi said. “I’ve got my people there.”

The ladies quickly tried to comfort Teddi, but that damage was already done.

RHOBH Recap: First Impressions, True Confessions

Hello Beverly Hills beauties! I hope everyone has slipped into something more comfortable and is ready to gossip (J’K – it’s quarantine so I know we’re all already in comfy clothes 24/7.) Last episode was a bit of a snooze fest but from the previews it looks like things will heat up this weekend so let’s begin.

We start out with one of Bravo’s cutest couples (Kyle and Mauricio) reunited and it feels so good. Kyle doesn’t waste any time getting back into the socialite lifestyle and planned a dinner party for her homecoming. While Kyle winds down, Erika is staying busy by getting ready to play Roxie Hart on Broadway. The role is iconic, and while Erika’s not bad, it also doesn’t sound ‘Broadway’ to me. It sounds a little off-Broadway; however practice does makes perfect!

The night of Kyle’s dinner party is here and a very tipsy Rinna and Erika arrive together along with a very prompt Teddi and a painful Denise. In addition to the regulars we have an off the rack Sutton, a fabulous Garcelle and everyone’s favorite….Faye Resnick. The dinner party starts out awkward as its more of a sixth grade slumber party than a chic Beverly Hills soiree as there are whispers of ‘she doesn’t like me’ and ‘I don’t want to sit by her’ (yes – these are grown women.)

The slumber party games continue as the ladies go around giving first impressions of each other (which you know never ends well.) It starts out innocent enough until we get to Sutton from the South who is determined the break the chain of kiss ass and tell it like it is. Sutton is up and tells Teddi that she thought she was boring and brings up her ‘All In’ retreat which makes Teddi cry. In the last scene, Teddi was saying she didn’t want Sutton to be ‘nice’ and be straight up with her, and when she is Teddi can’t take it. Am I the only one that is confused here?

Once Teddi’s meltdown is over, Kyle brings the men into the conversation to make her dinner party go from bad to just plan bizarre. Aaron’s profession comes up and to say it’s confusing is an understatement. I feel like I need to pass a specialized college course just to listen in to this weirdness. I’m a pretty open minded person and love healthy/clean living but WTF is he talking about? To make matters worse, Denise and Aaron claim that they are being stalked; however according to Aaron, Denise is protected. Who else needs the CliffsNotes here?

After the good doctor and the pregnant woman leave the drinks and Fireball flow. Sutton feels that Teddi doesn’t like her (which she doesn’t) however Kyle preaches her favorite thing to Sutton “speak your truth.” Maybe Kyle will want to hire a party planner next time to keep the ladies entertained?

The next day, Kyle goes over to console Sutton while Teddi meets Erika for brunch. While Kyle encourages Sutton to come, Teddi bluntly states that doesn’t want her there. I wonder how the Southern Belle will take this – stay tuned!

The shade Queen of Beverly Hills strikes again!

On Sunday, Lisa Rinna threw some shade at Lisa Vanderpump on her Instagram.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star posted a photo of her wearing a t-shirt that had her face on it with a crown on her head and the saying: “it’s not so heavy.”

“Make that Money Honey. Whoever you are @giftees_ #Hustle,” Rinna captioned the post.

As any OG RHOBH fan knows, this cheeky statement is a dig at LVP’s season 7 tagline. It also happens to be an ode to episode one of season 10, which was titled: “The Crown Isn’t So Heavy.”

Not surprisingly, Rinna’s fans, friends, and fellow Housewives loved her post. In fact, Erika Girardi commented, “I need this,” while RHONY’s Sonja Morgan wrote, “Yes #Rinna. Supporting others. Love you.”

In this week’s episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, fans got their first look inside Dorit and PK Kemsley new $6.5M Encino home.

The purchase of this home created a lot of controversy for the RHOBH couple, who have found themselves drowning in legal and financial issues for the past year or so.

Initally, many believed that Dorit and PK purchased their Encino home, but then various outlets reported that the RHOBH couple were only renting their home.

Yet, now we learn that Dorit and PK do, in fact, own their new multi-million dollar home. However, the home is listed in Dorit‘s name instead of both her and PK’s names. This news isn’t super surprising considering PK’s past financial issues.

“I know it doesn’t fit into the narrative that the press is trying to tell, that we have no money but its public record. Buyer: Dorit Kemsley,” the RHOBH star explained on Wednesday’s episode.

During her confessional on Wednesday’s episode, an off-screen producer asked: “Why is the house in your name and not yours and PK’s name together?”

Dorit responded: “Well, what difference does that make? I mean, is your house in both yours and your wife’s name?”

Regardless, Dorit, PK, and their two adorable kiddos are now living the life inside their 9000 square foot home that fit for a king.

The “modern farmhouse” boasts six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a movie theater, a “dream kitchen,” and a fantastic backyard with a pool.

However, the house does have one major downfall, and that’s the master bedroom closet. But don’t worry, Dorit’s already working on getting that issue remedied.

“You know the closet is a big issue for me,” Dorit told PK on the April 22 episode. PK, on the other hand, doesn’t think the closet is an issue but is all about making his wife happy.

“It’s not an issue, you just like better,” PK responded before giving in to his wife’s wants and needs. “If you want to upgrade, I’m down.”

Bravo Pushes RHOP Season 5 Premiere to Summer 2020

Word on the street is the season 5 premiere of the Real Housewives of Potomac is being pushed!

Bravo has decided to push the season 5 premiere of RHOP from May 3 to Summer 2020 due to the current Coronavirus pandemic.

The network announced this decision on April 23. After the news broke, the Potomac Housewives all posted a statement from Bravo on their social media accounts.

“RHOP fans: Due to these unprecedented times, we have to push the start date of the new season until the summer. However, when we say it will be worth the wait, we MEAN IT! Thank you for continued love and support. Stay healthy and stay safe. We’ll be in touch with a new date ASAP.”

While this news sucks for RHOP fans, it’s not entirely shocking. Bravo has shut down filming on all of their reality TV shows which means that their pipeline of shows to come has been severely impacted.

Production has halted filming for various Bravo shows including RHOC, RHONJ, RHOD, Below Deck, Married to Medicine, and Southern Charm. These shows are all currently supposed to filming their various seasons for summer/fall premieres but that isn’t happening and leaves Bravo with a huge gaping hole in the programming schedule for 2020.

It makes sense that Bravo needs to spread out some of its upcoming shows to ensure they can keep churning out new content over the next couple of months as none of us know how long this will all last.

It crazy times for sure and I think we won’t be seeing new seasons from some of our favorite shows until well into 2021. I don’t think filming for many of these shows will resume in 2020 but hopefully, I’m very wrong.

RHONY Recap: Ain’t no Party like a Hampton’s Party!

Welcome New York fans! I know we got a glimpse of NYFW on Wednesday’s episode of Beverly Hills, so let’s continue that New York state of mind with the real ladies of the Big Apple.

We start out with the return of The Countess who makes the ladies grovel at her feet, begging her to return with the promises that she will no longer be banished to the dungeon. Ramona has big plans in store for these ladies that include parties (with men) and tennis (with men.) Can someone please find Ramona a man so she can stop terrorizing the good bachelors of the Hamptons? Lu seems to be satisfied with her apologies as she ends up gracing us with her presence for a tennis match, (and flirt with the hot Italian instructor.)

Leah continues to grow on me as she doesn’t use Ramona’s incredible rudeness as an excuse to start a pointless fight that will drag on for episodes to come. Newbies are always trying to start a fight to get their own story line so props to Leah for not taking the bait! Ramona tries to make up for her lack of hosting skills by trying to bond again with the ladies and gives Lu the floor to be vulnerable. Luann admits that it’s hard not to drink and while I’m happy she’s admitting it, I find it hard to believe she is 100% sober when cameras aren’t around.

Apparently in order to get a job in the Hamptons you need to be a fit man willing to flirt with lonely middle age wealthy woman as the tennis instructor and dog groomers prove that. Lu uses the dog groomer as her own personal masseuse and really – would we expect anything less from The Countess?

The ladies decide to skip Ramona’s friend’s party and stay in to get drunk instead. At least when you get drunk in the privacy of your own house you don’t need to worry about Sonja yelling about shaving her ‘ you know what’ in a room full of strangers. The party is everything you would expect, as the ladies get ‘white girl wasted’ off of Champagne pong, and no one is more wasted than Leah and Sonja (who is carrying around a sex toy for whatever reason.)

The party really gets started when Leah and Tinsley strip down and jump in the pool and Leah declares war on the tiki torches, and if you don’t like that – well you don’t watch the news enough (according to Leah.) You know it’s on when a drunk Sonja joins the party and the three blondes decide to rid the Hamptons of all tiki torches in site. Ramona makes the mistake of leaving these drunks alone in her house, while Lu leaves as it’s not fun to be sober with this group.

With the sober ladies leave, Leah takes it upon herself to rid the house of the Morgan and Mortimer names in addition to the tiki torches. The level of crazy escalates to scary island level as Leah fights with Sonja while she is peeing on the toilet about the JP Morgan name. If this scene isn’t legendary I don’t know what is – Bravo ladies!

Unfortunately the morning after isn’t so pretty with sex toys in china and eyeglasses in champagne glasses. Needless to say, Ramona isn’t pleased and I’m shocked at how functional these ladies are as they should be hung over as hell. I think it’s safe to say we now know why Leah stopped drinking for nine years. Yikes.

Lauren Manzo may be having a change of heart only days after declaring that she would no longer post photos of her daughter Markie on Instagram. Days after vowing that she and her family would no longer post photos of Markie on Instagram, Lauren did just that in honor of her father, Albert Manzo’s 60th birthday. “Happy 60th Birthday, Daddy! ?? Thank you for being the best father and pop pop in the world. I thank god every day for making me your little girl ?? However, as you scroll through the post, there’s not one but two pictures of Markie and her pop-pop. Last week, Lauren and Caroline were attacked by Instagram trolls for their quarantine living situation. A select few “fans” questioned where Lauren was and why Markie was at Caroline’s house when she should be home during the current quarantine. “Just curious. If everyone is supposed to be staying home, why are you having your granddaughter over all the time? I thought your daughter’s salon would be closed. Are you all staying at your house together?” one fan questioned. Another wrote, “Do they live with you, or is NJ not on lockdown?” Caroline went on to explain her family’s current quarantine situation after being bombarded with “unbelievable” questions and accusations. Lauren Manzo's Social Media Update Lauren also addressed the drama writing, “It’s insanity that people assume that I’m not here with her because I’m not in the photo. Are people really that dumb???? We are quarantined here. It’s unreal. Everyone just stop.” She then warned, “And if the bullshit doesn’t stop, we are not going to allow anyone in my family to post our daughter anymore.” “It’s getting really f–king annoying. So mind your business and enjoy the cute kid or don’t see her anymore. It’s that simple,” Lauren added. However, the hate didn’t stop, and that’s when Lauren announced that she and her family would no longer be posting photos of Markie. “Since so many of you are absolutely insane, mean, and don’t know how to mind your own f–king business…we will no longer be posting photos of Markie on our Instagrams. This includes my extended family on their Instagrams too. Thanks for f–king it up for everyone else,” Lauren wrote on her Instagram story. RHONY Recap: Don’t Mansion It

I know last night we were watching housewives in New York but tonight we are watching the actual ladies of the Big Apple.

While last night was NYFW tonight were in the Hamptons but that doesn’t mean the ladies are skimping on the designer duds, even though they are just wine tasting. Despite being sober for 9 years, spending time with this crazy group has already driven the new ‘wife Leah to drink as she feels she is up to the task. Leah admits that alcohol ruined her life a decade ago, so drinking + reality TV this time around….well, you do the math Leah!

Ramona decides to bond with the ladies by sharing something personal about herself and I’m shocked at how real and self aware Ms. Singer is. While Ramona keeps it genuine, Tinsley ruins the moment by saying she needs a child to ‘check that box’ which comes off as shallow and bizarre. Dorinda uses this moment to go in at Tinsley, comparing her to an iceberg as we only see 10% of who she is. Leah’s turn comes and she shares her rehab story while Dorinda reveals she is petrified for her future (which seems to be the running theme in this group.) All of these women are single so the lack of a stable romantic relationship has really taken a toll on them, which is pretty surprising considering they are all so strong and independent.

While it’s rose all day, it’s partying with millionaires at night (who apparently dated both Bethenny and Tinsley) and the ladies are dressed to impress. While half the ladies look like they are going clubbing in New York, the others look like they are in Atlanta, GA (Ramona’s words not mine!) The house is beautiful but the party is dry AF (bar setup is lame and it seems a bit Downton Abbey ish.) None of the ladies seem to be enjoying themselves other than Ramona who is trying to bag herself a very rich man (which is why I suspect she actually came to the party in the first place.)

Ramona is trying hard to impress the owner, Joe; however Sonja is not helping her out as she is pretty drunk and loud. Sonja was a little sloppy before but really lost it after being called an ‘accessory’ to her ex-husband which does not sit well with lady Morgan. While Sonja defends her ‘boss bitch’ title Ramona is working hard, hoping to snag that trophy wife status.

While Sonja causes problems at the party, it’s the Countess who leaves in the middle of the night, as she is unhappy with her accommodations. It’s clear from the text and the tone that humble Lu is long gone and the ladies are going to have to deal with the repercussions of forcing the Countess to sleep in the lower level.

Former Real Housewives of Orange County staple Kara Keough is dealing with an unimaginable loss. Kara, the daughter of former RHOC star Jeana Keough, gave birth to her second child – a son, named McCoy Casy Bosworth, on April 6. However, McCoy passed away shortly after arriving in this world. Kara is married to former NFL player Kyle Bosworth. The two are already parents to a 4-year-old daughter named Decker. On Tuesday, April 14, Kara announced McCoy’s passing in a post on Instagram. “On April 6th, our son McCoy Casey Bosworth was born at 3:10 am. Weighing in at 11 pounds and 4 ounces and spanning 21 inches, McCoy surprised us all with his size and strength (and overall perfection). During the course of his birth, he experienced shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord,” Kara explained. “He joined our Heavenly Father and will live forever in the hearts of his loving parents, his adoring sister, and those that received his life-saving gifts.” Kara also revealed that the family donated McCoy’s organs and tissue to help give other infants the gift of continued life.
