We all know it’s XXPEN$IVE to be Erika Girardi, and she has no intention of changing that!

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is doing everything she can to hold on to her personal assets amid the ongoing bankruptcy case against her estranged husband, Tom Girardi.

Nearly six months after filing for divorce, Erika is refusing to turn over nearly $20 million given to her by Tom during the duration of their marriage.

Radar Online reports that Erika is set to be slapped with a massive lawsuit. The lawsuit demands that Erika return all her possessions to help pay off Tom’s creditors. The famed attorney allegedly owes clients $26 million.

The trustees presiding over Tom’s involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy are asking the court for permission to sue Erika.

They believe Erika is in possession of “assets of the Debtor’s bankruptcy estate and/or has transferred estate assets to third parties prior to the commencement of this bankruptcy case.” 

The RHOBH star reportedly told the trustees that she “does not have any community property in possession (except for certain household items) and that what she does have were alleged gifts from” her ex-husband.

Erika says the expensive gifts she’s received from Tom will NOT be turned over. She also believes that Tom’s creditors and the bankruptcy court do not have the right to seize any of her property, including “pricey bling” and “designer goods.”

According to the report, Erika is believed to have received at least $20 million in gifts and transfers from Tom over the course of their 20 plus year marriage.

Meanwhile, another report from Us Weekly reveals that Elissa Miller, who is a trustee working on Tom’s bankruptcy case and overseeing the assets of his Girardi Keese law firm, filed a report on April 13.

In the report, Miller revealed Tom’s law firm owes at least $26 million in settlement funds to “anywhere from dozens to hundreds of clients.”

$2 million of that is owed to orphans and widows of the 2018 Lion Air Flight 610 crash. The firm also owes $11 million to victims of the 2010 gas pipeline explosion in San Bruno, California.

Miller noted that it was “most distressing” to find “evidence that many cases had settled, but the clients had not received the funds from the settlement.” She added that new claims for unpaid funds are coming in daily. Other victims of the law firm include “victims of the 2018 Woolsey fire and more than 8,200 clients who had dealt with gas leaks in Southern California.”
