RHONY Recap: Burning Man

Hello NY fans! All is right in the world: RHONY is back, Sonja is in her townhouse and Bennifer may once again be an item.

So where are we this week? Sonja is meeting with her healer as something is off with her and her energy (and truer words have never been spoken.) While Sonja tries to dig deep, I’m getting some serious ‘Shaman of RHOD‘ vibes from her healer, and that’s not exactly a compliment as every Bravo fan knows.

On track with the Bravo brand, Ramona is having a party in the Hamptons and is aiming for class and a little less ass. The theme of the party is burning man, and nothing says Ramona like burning man (please note sarcasm here.) Ramona is in the spirit with feathers in her hair and brought in the best help (her words not mine) to help with the festivities; however unfortunately for Leah Tiki torches are involved. While it starts out smoothly, with Eboni bringing a nice gift, Ramona pulls a Ramona by calling her hired staff ‘the help.’ Eboni feels it’s a triggering and outdated expression, and to that I say…..have you met Ramona?!?

Before the ladies get there, Ramona mentions RHONY alum Heather and it’s clear Leah has a bone to pick with her (which is foreshadowing for what we know is to come.) Leah doesn’t trust Heather for talking about the cast in the press, and while I have to agree, I also am scratching my head as to why Leah has so strong a reaction towards Heather. Lu and Sonja arrive at the Hamptons estate late (and not the fashionably kind) and Lu is pleased to see that she has upgraded from the lower level to a pool view suite.

While the view may be good for Lu, it’s not great for the rest of us as we are forced to watch the cast of RHONY in black mesh and pasties. What happened to season one where a tasteful nude was enough for Ramona to exit stage left? While I’ve never been to burning man, these ladies have officially made me 100% sure that it’s not for me as this party looks like one hard pass. Leah learned from her past mistakes and is sober this year in the Hamptons however I think just walking into that setting will immediately give anyone a contact high. You’re most likely going to need one as we’re dealing with sound baths, eccentric healers and horrible fashion.

Things turn serious as Leah and Eboni have serious family issues they are dealing with and are looking for legitimate healing from burning man, Hamptons style. The other ladies focus more on their friendships with the healer; however the focus is on Sonja who admits to checking out when things get hard. Sonja + checking out + the townhouse = Grey Gardens, so it’s no wonder why the ladies are worried. Although it’s supposed to be a healing session, it sounds like more of an exorcism with Leah and Lu screaming out their pain. Can we please get D’Andra’s Shaman/Hairdresser in on this action?

Despite some of the guests being sober, the fun isn’t lost as the ladies still end up naked in the pool, minus Eboni who refuses to get white girl wasted. Eboni has had enough of this circus and decides to do the good, old fashioned Irish goodbye. Team Eboni, I would be exhausted and tapped out too – no shame in choosing a comfy bed over electric giants in stilts.

It’s almost time for ladies of the 90210 to bring us back to Beverly Hills for some fresh drama, fierce fashion, and fun.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns for season 11 on Wednesday, May 19, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. With a new season comes a new batch of taglines, and this season the ladies of Beverly Hills aren’t holding back.

Fans are getting a sneak peek at what they can expect from the Beverly Hills Housewives during season 11 thanks to their latest taglines, which Bravo released via Entertainment Tonight on Monday, May 10.

Season 10 Housewives Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, and Garcelle Beauvais are all back as diamond-holders. They are being joined by season 10 “friend of” Sutton Stracke and newbie Crystal Kung Minkoff.
