Friends through thick and thin!

Meghan McCain is defending her “good friend” and favorite Beverly Hills Housewife, Erika Jayne.

The former talk show host appeared on Wednesday’s Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen where she defended the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.

Andy Cohen asked Meghan if she was “suspicious” of the timing around Erika’s divorce filing from her estranged husband, Tom Girardi.

“The timelines match up to me,” Meghan said. “I believe her. I feel bad for her. I have known, I don’t know, but I know wealthy women who don’t know anything about their finances.”

She added, “I believe she has a good heart. I believe that she will be proven innocent.”

According to Meghan she and Erika became very close during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m like legitimately good friends with her. We became much closer doing COVID,” Meghan explained. “It’s a little weird. I remember specifically when I was coming back from my like my first doctor’s appointment after I gave birth, her calling me and like having a whole conversation about how stuff was going down in her life.”

Andy then asked Meghan her feelings on fans criticizing Erika for not coming across as more sympathetic to Tom’s victims, who he allegedly stole millions from.

“I would have loved to have consulted her,” Meghan said. “I would have loved to have her hire me for some political consulting, especially on her social media. I just think unfortunately that perception is reality in the time that we live in.”

In late 2020, Erika and Tom were accused of embezzling millions meant for clients of Tom’s Girardi Keese law firm. Said clients included an array of victims including widows, orphans, and burn victims.

On top of this Erika is being sued for $25 million by trustees handling the bankruptcy case for the Girardi Keese law firm. The RHOBH star continues to deny she knew anything about Tom’s alleged crimes.

Erika Jayne is dipping her toe back into the dating pool.

A new report from TMZ reveals that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star re-entered the dating pool a month ago. She has  “already been on a handful of dates with different men,” according to a source.

So what type of men is Erika dating? Well, sources say she’s gone out with a mix of men including some suitors in Hollywood as well as some who work outside of the industry.

One thing Erika isn’t doing is using dating apps to find love. Instead, she’s having friends set her up and is only dating men who live locally in the Los Angeles area.

This all comes amid Erika’s divorce from her estranged husband Tom Girardi. Erika filed for divorce in November 2020 after 21 years of marriage.

Meanwhile, another report from Us Weekly claims that Erika is “is afraid that she may have said something to hurt her case” during season 11 of RHOBH.

However, this fear won’t stop her from returning for season 12 of the show as she needs to income.

“Erika is nervous that her own words will be used against her in court, her talking about anything related to money and how much she knew about Tom’s [alleged] shady dealings,” an insider reveals. “Erika’s lawyers instructed her to say as little as possible, but that wasn’t realistic for Erika because she’s filming a reality show about her life, she knew she had to open up.”

“Erika is worried about her finances, she doesn’t have access to large sums of money anymore and her main income is RHOBH, which is far less than she’s used to having. Erika is worried about her words coming back to haunt her, but she has no choice since she needs the income from the show,” the source adds.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills producers have no problem turning over all of their footage of Erika Jayne after being subpoenaed.

“They do not want to get in the way of the legal system,” the insider tells Us Weekly.

While attorney Jay Edelson insists that the network has “protected” Erika amid her legal woes source close to RHOBH say that simply isn’t true.

“We have all seen Bravo ride the Girardi embezzlement scandal to historically high ratings,” the lawyer said in a statement earlier this month. “For the most part, Andy Cohen and Bravo have protected Erika, paying her — according to reports — as much as $600,000 to be on the show this year while allowing her to cast herself as the primary victim of Tom’s criminality.”

The source notes that “no one at Bravo tried to protect Erika at any point.”

In fact, both Andy Cohen and the rest of the RHOBH producers were “interested in finding out the truth behind Erika’s money and how much she knew about where it was coming from as well” while filming season 11 of RHOBH.

However, the insider does admit that Bravo “loves” how the drama in Erika’s life has unfolded on the show.

“So many people are talking about this current season, and it’s been great for ratings,” the source adds.

“Erika is worried about her finances,” the source confesses. “Erika is worried about her words coming back to haunt her, but she has no choice since she needs the income from the show.”

Not a happy camper!

Denise Richards is not happy that her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costars keep name-dropping her more than a year after she walked away from the show.

The actress turned reality TV star, who was a full-time cast member on RHOBH during seasons nine and ten, feels it is “distasteful” that she keeps getting brought up on the show. Denise thinks she’s only being brought up “just to prolong the storyline.”

“Denise isn’t thrilled about her name being brought up during the reunion or even this season,” an insider told Us Weekly.

The source adds that Denise “believes producers provoked the conversation between Garcelle [Beauvais] and [Lisa] Rinna just to give them something drama-filled to talk about” during season 11.

“She once joked, ‘Do I get paid for every time my name comes up?’ and she meant it. She thinks she should get paid if she’s going to be mentioned,” the source noted.
