The drama surrounding The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has always been a rollercoaster of emotions, but this season, Bozoma “Boz” Saint John is adding a fresh perspective to the chaos. As a newcomer to the franchise, Boz Saint John hasn’t hesitated to share her honest opinions about her co-stars, including the ongoing tension between Dorit Kemsley and Sutton Stracke. And in a recent interview, Boz dropped a bombshell, admitting that Dorit is far from the innocent party in her feud with Sutton.
“Let’s be real here — Dorit is not innocent,” Boz Saint John boldly confessed in an episode of Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap. “She knows how to poke.”
While it’s clear that Dorit is a master of stirring the pot, Boz doesn’t let Sutton off the hook either, saying both women know exactly where to hit below the belt, ensuring that their battle continues to escalate.
“I’m just saying she knows how to poke and where to poke,” Boz explained. “Sutton also knows how to poke and where to poke. And so they’re just gonna go back and forth with that and they’re just gonna get lower and lower. There is no, like, high road.”
With the drama reaching new lows, Boz opens up about what surprised her the most — and how emotions, both seen and unseen, played a huge role in the conflict.
While Boz isn’t absolving Dorit of blame, she was particularly taken aback by Sutton’s actions. Boz admits that she expected Sutton to rise above the drama, especially given that she believed Sutton was in a more stable emotional place compared to her co-stars.
“Whereas Dorit, and I even give it to Kyle, they’re in such delicate emotional spaces that I think it would be difficult for them to come out of the muck and be wiser, better,” Boz shared, referring to Dorit’s separation from PK Kemsley and Kyle’s own marital issues with Mauricio Umansky. “I’m not making excuses. I’m just saying all of us have been in the space where you just need a little grace.”
But despite these factors, Boz was still shocked by Sutton’s behavior. “I was shocked by the fact that Sutton could continue to go so low. At some point, somebody’s gotta be the bigger person,” she said, specifically calling out Sutton’s “wallet diss” as a moment that went “low.”
In an unexpected twist, Boz admitted that she wasn’t fully aware of what Sutton was going through personally during filming. She revealed that Sutton’s emotional state, particularly related to her childhood home, had a deeper impact on her actions.
“Sutton going to her childhood home… that was hard. That was so terrible. And I wish I had known that,” Boz shared, expressing regret that she didn’t have this context at the time. “I am going to expect you to be better, and maybe you can’t be because of what you’ve been through. It’s like, the way that Sutton behaved at Dorit’s house, I wish I had known. It would’ve made more sense.”
Had Boz been aware of Sutton’s emotional struggles, it seems she would have been more understanding of her co-star’s behavior. But as things stood, Boz was left trying to make sense of actions that felt “low” to her.
Boz didn’t hold back when discussing her complicated relationship with Kyle Richards either. If you’ve been watching RHOBH, you know Kyle’s coldness toward Boz was a topic of much discussion during the season. But according to Boz, that chill wasn’t just for the cameras.
“I have been surprised with how just stuck in the mud Kyle was about the text, or how she was stuck in the mud about me calling her cold,” Boz said, referencing a specific moment in their conflict. “I’m like, ‘Girl, I could be a good friend.’”
Boz’s analogy of a new neighbor bringing cookies to a new arrival was a direct jab at Kyle’s initial aloofness: “When you move into a new neighborhood, don’t the neighbors bring over the plate of cookies? Where are the cookies?”
But it seems things eventually thawed, thanks to Boz’s own efforts. “She did [warm up]. She got warmer. But it was because I reached out,” Boz explained, revealing that despite her frustrations, she made the effort to connect with Kyle. “When we were going back and forth about the whole ‘cold’ thing, she had made a comment … that it was a two-way street that if I wanted to get to know her … It got warmer because I reached out because I really wanted to know how she was doing, especially after seeing Mauricio kissing that girl.”
