Teresa’s recent prison release quickly went from interest in photos of her leaving to gossip over a new car! Want details??
Paparazzi naturally followed Teresa from her release to her family home where photos showed that Teresa received an early Christmas present/welcome home gift in the form of a new Lexus SUV (complete with huge red bow)!
After the initial public outrage, Teresa’s lawyer released a statement saying that she needed a car and there was nothing more to the story.
Teresa’s lawyer is now expanding even more to quiet any of those outraged at the lavish gift (which is estimated at around $90K), saying that despite the major purchase, the Giudice family has nearly paid their restitution.
NJ.com is reporting that per the Giudice Lawyer, James Leonard, “The Giudices owe less than $50,000 of the $414,588 in restitution the couple was ordered to pay, and he says that amount will be paid in full by the end of January, if not before.”
Well there you have it! In addition to nearing the end of their restitution payments, the Giudice family was able to save their mansion from being in foreclosure and are current on mortgage payments.
It goes without saying that people will be following the Giudices (and their payments) very closely! Despite their recent ‘wins’ they were also recently hit with a $551,563 tax lien for failure on paying taxes.
Regarding this, Leonard says “It is absolutely a priority of ours to resolve it as quickly as possible.”
When questioned about their other debts, Leonard did not have an update; however says “But I’m sure that they too in time will be addressed. This woman just got out of prison yesterday.”
