The B is open to returning to Bravo?!?! Not so fast!

Bethenny Frankel reveals that she was asked to be on Bravo’s new spinoff show Real Housewives of New York: Legacy.

While the Skinnygirl mogul didn’t initially share her response to the offer, she did weigh in on Bravo’s plan to reboot RHONY and give the franchise spinoff show featuring OG cast members.

“Many of you have been asking me for a response to [the] Housewives announcement,” Bethenny said on her Just B podcast. “So a couple [of] weeks ago, I got a text from, you know, the powers that be in the Bravosphere saying, ‘Is there a chance? Is there a chance? Just asking, is there a chance?’ Meaning, would I come back.”

Bethenny admits she “didn’t understand” the premise of RHONY: Legacy, adding that Andy Cohen’s revelation about the spinoff show “wasn’t really an announcement.”

“I know from a bunch of producers and people in the industry that they’re casting the show of new people and that they clearly don’t know who the show of old people will be because I was asked to be on it,” she continued. “So it’s not been crafted. So it felt like, sort of, a half-baked announcement. I didn’t really understand it.”

She added, “Years ago, I said to [franchise producer] Andy [Cohen], ‘There should be an all-stars show.’ And he said, ‘One day we’ll get to the point where we have to do that. We’re not there now.’ “

Despite Bethenny’s concerns, she thinks Bravo is  “smart” to keep “finding new ways to make things” on Real Housewives fresh and exciting.

“They can’t give that up because you got to tap that vein and get the last juice out of that franchise,” she continued. “You got to keep going.”

As for whether or not she would return, Bethenny didn’t say yes or no but admitted that she doesn’t think Bravo could afford her.

“When asked, I say, ‘There’s a number, but I don’t think you can afford it,'” she quipped.

“From a business standpoint, [it’s] probably smarter for them to just keep mixing together the ingredients that they already have on the shelf: the people that’ll do it for so cheap because they’ll do it for next to nothing for the relevance and the jolt,” she continued. “From a business standpoint, you have something that’s not at the peak in ratings; put them all together in the soup. You have an audience; they’re going to watch it.”

She added, “They don’t necessarily need my advice, but unless you’re creating some new thing that you’re reviving an entire brand and doing something entirely new, I don’t even see how that applies to me because I didn’t necessarily even understand what it is.”

It turns out not everyone loves the idea of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York spinoff RHONY: Legacy.

Former RHONY star Carole Radziwill says she has no interest in being a part of RHONY: Legacy, saying doing the spinoff show would be an “epic fail.”

“Taking the fans’ desire for me to come back, and putting that aside (because I love them)….if I went back, I would sort of consider that to be an epic fail on my part,” she revealed on the podcast Andy’s Girls with Sarah Galli. “I would not go back; I could not have one more conversation about anything with any of them.”

“I don’t even get that show (RHONY Legacy)…I could see it running for a few episodes, and then where are they going to go with that? It’s always going to compete with the show on Bravo because the legacy show is going to be on Peacock,” she added. “I know they’re really short on; they’re really struggling to populate Peacock with, with shows. So.”

Meanwhile, Luann de Lesseps says she can’t see RHONY: Legacy being a success without OG New York Housewife Ramona Singer being a part of the cast.

“Listen, I can’t see a show without the Ramona Singer’ stinger,’” Luann told Page Six. “So, I’d be surprised if they didn’t ask her back.”

“Love her or hate her, she’s a woman that [many have] grown to love,” she noted. “We’ve seen her on television for so long.”

As for herself, Luann said she wouldn’t mind being cast on RHONY: Legacy but admits she’s hoping to keep her apple on the re-boot of RHONY.

“If they ask me, I would love to, and I can’t think of a better scenario than coming back with all the OGs. What fun? I think it’s very hard to fit people into a cast that’s been around for so long,” Luann explained.
