Jennifer Fessler says her husband Jeff Fessler had a very unexpected reaction to the rumor that she allegedly hooked up with Summer House star West Wilson.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is speaking out after Ciara Miller claimed Jennifer had slept with West following Jennifer’s public defense of him. While the rumor quickly spread through the Bravo world, Jennifer says Jeff was not bothered by it. In fact, he thought it was funny.
While attending Nancy Davis’ Race to Erase MS Gala sponsored by L’Agence at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles on Friday, June 5, Jennifer told Us Weekly that everything was fine between her and her husband after the claim went viral.
“Everything was always well. He laughed at it. He laughed too much, I started to get a little pissed, like, ‘It’s not that funny, Jeff,’” Jennifer said. “But it really was so stupid. And I don’t know, maybe one day we’ll get an apology. We’ll see.”
The drama started on May 8 after Jennifer defended West while attending Vulture’s The Masterminds of Reality TV event. At the time, West was under fire for his romance with Amanda Batula, who was previously close with Ciara and separated from husband Kyle Cooke earlier this year.
Jennifer had praised West, saying, “[West] is the cutest, sweetest golden retriever puppy dog.”
Ciara responded on Threads with a shocking claim, writing, “Lol, because they slept together too.”
West quickly denied the allegation on Instagram Stories, posting “news to me” over a meme suggesting confusion while tagging Jennifer.
Now, Jennifer says West did reach out to apologize, and not just to her.
“West did reach out and apologize profusely and called and apologized to my husband and kids,” Jennifer said, referring to Jeff and their two children, Zachary and Rachel.
Still, Jennifer made it clear that the apology does not mean she plans to continue a friendship with West or the Summer House cast.
“I think that my relationship with those kids is probably, let’s call that over,” Jennifer said. “I’ve had enough. I’m not interested in mingling with the Summer House group. No, no, thank you.”
The comment is a major shift considering Jennifer had previously been friendly with West and even defended him amid his ongoing Summer House backlash.
But after being dragged into a public hookup rumor involving a married Housewife, Jennifer appears to be done with the crossover drama entirely.
The rumor came during an already messy time for the Summer House cast. Ciara has been dealing with the fallout from West dating Amanda after his own romantic history with Ciara. At the reunion, Ciara made it clear she felt betrayed by both her ex and her former best friend.
Jennifer’s name being pulled into the drama took things to another level, especially because she is married and had only been speaking positively about West.
Margaret Josephs also weighed in on the rumor, previously calling West a “f–kboy” and suggesting he may have said something to Ciara himself. Margaret said she did not believe Ciara would lie, but also insisted that nothing happened between Jennifer and West.
