During the May 4 episode of the “Casual Chaos” podcast hosted by Gia Giudice, Sophie opened up about her career at NBC and explained why she has no interest in working directly for Bravo despite her family ties to the network.

“It’s been fun to see both sides of NBC,” Sophie shared while discussing her current role in ad sales at NBCUniversal, the parent company behind Bravo.

Sophie, whose mother is longtime The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador, admitted that coworkers have repeatedly asked whether she would ever consider transferring over to Bravo.

“They’ve asked me, ‘Oh, would you ever think about moving over?’” Sophie revealed.

But according to Sophie, there is one major reason she has no plans to make the switch.

“Yeah, I’ve considered it and I probably won’t be doing that because I don’t really want to hear her name at work,” she said.

Sophie continued, “As much as I love her, I don’t want to hear her name at work.”

Even though she wants to keep some separation between her professional life and her famous family, Sophie admitted she still enjoys hearing about her mom being discussed around the network.

She shared that some of her friends currently work on Bravo projects including BravoCon and have even pitched Shannon for campaigns and promotions.

“I have friends who work on Bravo. They do BravoCon. It’s a lot,” Sophie explained. “One of my friends has pitched my mom for different things.”

Sophie’s comments come as Shannon continues to remain one of the biggest names on The Real Housewives of Orange County after joining the franchise during season 9 in 2014.

Outside of reality TV, Sophie has been building her own career path. After graduating from Baylor University in 2024, she relocated to New York City and now works as a digital sales planner for NBC Sports.

While Bravo may not be in Sophie’s future, it is clear the Beador family connection still follows her everywhere she goes at NBC.
