Kelsey Swanson didn’t hold back when asked about money, relationships, and homeownership, and her answer quickly turned into one of the more pointed moments on Watch What Happens Live.
What started as a simple question about her feud with Rosie DiMare took a sharp turn when Kelsey brought up Dorit Kemsley, making it clear she views the situation playing out on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a warning, not a goal.
During the segment, Andy Cohen questioned Kelsey’s comments about Rosie’s home, pointing out that Kelsey herself doesn’t own property in her name.
“Why are you speaking on shading the size of Rosie and her husband’s house when you don’t even have a house in your name?” Andy asked.
Kelsey didn’t hesitate, and her response immediately raised eyebrows.
“Listen, do I want to end up like Dorit?” she said.
She continued by explaining her perspective on financial independence within relationships.
“What happens when your man stops paying your mortgage?”
Kelsey made it clear she doesn’t see being financially tied to a partner as something to aspire to.
“It’s not a flex to be put on a house. I really don’t care.”
Her comments come as Dorit’s finances have become a major topic this season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, with cast members openly questioning her spending and reports circulating about issues tied to her home. Dorit has previously said that certain financial responsibilities were handled by her estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, and that she was not aware of everything happening behind the scenes.
