Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo, and a former professor at Wesleyan University, is now at the center of a criminal investigation involving alleged insurance fraud.
Osefo and her husband, Eddie Osefo, are facing more than a dozen charges, including multiple felonies, following a reported burglary at their Maryland home while they were on vacation in 2024. As of now, both Wendy and Eddie have been released on bond following their arrests. In the wake of the charges, Wesleyan University confirmed a major update regarding Osefo’s employment status.
“Wendy Osefo is no longer an employee of Wesleyan University,” the university told Eyewitness News.
Osefo had been serving as a professor of sociology and was scheduled to teach a fall course titled “The Sociology of Reality TV.” The course, which would have examined the impact of fame, media, and culture, now seems eerily relevant given her current legal troubles.
